May this year elevate you to greater heights, open doors to new discoveries, and give you opportunities to go beyond your limits.
Stay Focused and Take Your Shot.
At the beginning of this year, I drew Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa as a master study. This drawing was done in 55 minutes while listening to E.S. Posthumus' album 'Cartographer', while using a ballpoint pen. I had a lot of fun learning while recreating this masterpiece, and I am excited for the future drawings going into 2026!
Like others, I was shocked after finishing the recent episode of The Amazing Digital Circus! Very crazy! Lol
Enjoy!
It's been a while, so I wanted to share my process for creating character illustrations:
I start with a rough idea, sometimes creating it with stick figures or a simple use of construction shapes.
After I find something I like, I'll push the rough sketch further, looking to match the tone I'm going for. Once I'm satisfied with the sketching, I go right into inking.
In the past, I used Adobe Illustrator to ink my lines. Ever since I got Procreate, I have not looked back. I really enjoy their Baskerville brush for inking the final line art.
Depending on the art work, I might jump into blocking the shading. For this drawing, I went ahead with the base colors.
The icing of the cake: Shadows and Highlights. With the right colors, it really makes the work pop even more!
And that's it. Thanks for reading and viewing my process!

Took the Frieren drawing challenge. If you haven't watched the show, it's worth it!
I was doing some quick sketches and I was intrigued with this one. It was fun exploring references and creating the accessories.
Enjoy!
Quick update, I completed my graduate studies in animation! I'm happy to share my journey in exploring this medium, and I'm excited for my next adventure! All animation was done by me. This reel does include some audio.
Software used for the animation: Rough Animator tablet app, Toon Boom Harmony, and Procreate (not Dreams, I haven't tried that software yet).
Enjoy!
I attended an animation panel this year at Dragon Con that allowed participants to animate using their smartphones. The app is called FlipaClip and is free (it does come with ads, fyi). This is my first time animating at Dragon Con, and it was fun learning the app!
I had fun working on this fan art of the Riddler. Inspired by the Batman Forever movie and soundtrack.
Enjoy!

NOTICE: Homeless / Displaced
Hello everyone! Unfortunate update for me here:
My apartment was destroyed by a fire/water damage from trying to put it out, so I have officially been homeless since April 16th, 2024. We've been scrambling messing with insurance and finding hotels to stay in for the time being, and things are finally a little more stable on that front for now.
All progress/contact/etc may be limited for a while until we can get back into a proper home 8( I appreciate your understanding and if any commission clients need refunds, just contact me and I'll do my best to get it to you (I can still only do half refunds for partial work)
If you'd like to help me out with expenses while we get back on our feet, my Ko-Fi is here:
Become a supporter of Sky's Scribbles today! ❤️ Ko-fi lets you support the creators you love with no fees on donations.
Thank you for all of the help I've already received, and if anyone else can help as well! I hope to be back to things as soon as I can, but it may be a good month out before I really can
Much love, please take care <3
Hey everyone! If you can help out @skyscribbles by funding or reposting, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please continue to be safe Sky! Much love!
When it looks like your team is going to win but doesn't work out at the last second. Explored some emotions for this animation assignment. Learned some things with this animation.
Just completed another animation exercise – my class explored weight and how a character would try to lift a heavy object. This project was a lot of fun in creating a story while understanding this principle.
Enjoy!
Sorry it's been quiet on my end. Grad school and work has been keeping me busy.
I did a character turnaround to help with my current animation with the same character. It's very rough, but it gives me an idea for future turnaround animation.
Recently, I completed an animation exercise focusing on overlapping action. It was fun figuring out how to work with the bouncing and the motion of the character's tail. As the character is jumping forward, I will do the same in another exploration of discovery.

This is my first assignment for my animation graduate studies. Taking two different balls (size, weight) and animating them on a platform.
I learned a lot about Timing and Spacing with this project. I still have more studying and practicing to get the hang of it, but I am grateful for the progress.

MA in Digital Animation Program at Kennesaw State University.
This past weekend, I studied the bouncing ball and the mechanics for the exercise. In researching, I found amazing information that professional animators gave credit to this exercise.
Looking forward to learning more!
