Lalaloopsy Infection!AU fic (because why not?)
"Rules": original characters are either implied or directly confirmed to be autistic, every work has some kind of major thematic backbone, content warnings (if they apply) will be put at the beginning of chapters, nothing too NSFW because I'm bad at writing sex (ironically, gore is fine for some reason), and all (or most) WIPs will be written at some point
The Red and White Saga: Rewriting this idea I meticulously plotted out and scrapped a couple years ago, but decided to try writing for real this time because we are so back. Spanning the multiple canon (and a few non-canon) events of the Resident Evil franchise, this series follows original character Bailey Conroy as she goes from an outbreak survivor caught in the crossfires of a conspiracy as both are happening at the same time to a functional bioweapon trying her hardest to fight the good fight and come to grips with her complicated and controversial legacy. There will be gore and body horror, as is par for the franchise. Also this will be a series, as the timeline of events is very long and complicated and probably shouldn't be consumed in one sitting. Also includes clone-sister trauma bonding, people that shouldn't be parents, people that aren't used to filling a parental role, AuDHD, realizing you're bisexual mid-rescue mission, accidentally giving your child an Electra complex, and a heaping helping of Christian symbolism/imagery/motifs. And little surprises ;)
Time in a Bottle: A collection of short(?) scenarios following the lives of the historical characters of the American Girl franchise after the events of their stories, including some getting the chance to interact with each other in what some would consider the future. Used this as a fun opportunity now that the American Girl connected timeline was proven somewhat canon with recent books. Warning: may or may not make you cry a little
In Perfect Harmony: Leo's first surprise gift for his 25th birthday wasn't what he expected: the treasured toy conductor's baton from his childhood, with the batteries still intact as well. Annie said she found it shoved in a box hidden in the closet of his old room, alongside her purple microphone and a handmade scrapbook the pair made about their various pretend adventures with their friends. The second surprise gift was the quartet getting back together after all those years apart. The third surprise was all those adventures they assumed to be pretend being real the whole time. Rocket, having been dormant for decades since their last mission, reawakens to take the Now-Grown-Up Einsteins on a new mission with harrowing consequences: someone or something is causing music to disappear bit by bit, and it could be gone for good if they don't stop whomever or whatever's responsible. It's up to the team's memories of missions past to find the clues and answers they need. Warning: may or may not make you cry a little
Escape the Afterlife: (Takes place between seasons 3 and 4) The last thing Manny remembered was being shot multiple times by someone he thought was his best friend. Now, him and the other losers (victims? casualties?) of this twisted game of survival are in a puzzle of their own. Multiple puzzles, in fact, just like before. Is this place heaven or hell? How does it know how everyone died? Is Joey connected to this? Is there a way out? What are the rules to this game? And why are people spontaneously vanishing? There will be a relative amount of gore, as the characters exist in a post-death state and a surprising number of ETN contestants "die"/get eliminated in surprisingly disturbing ways now that I think about it.
Lalaloopsy infection!AU fic: Trachyparatrichosis, known colloquially as "silly hair syndrome", used to be an ancient scourge that was only ever talked about in regards to Lalaloopsyland's history. Until, out of the blue, another patient zero appears in modern day. As the number of infected slowly begins to rise and more precautions are taken by the non-infected, Bea Spells-a-Lot and the others are racing against the clock to find the antidote, why the disease suddenly started up again, and how it managed to spread. Will probably have a happy ending. Also contains mild to moderate body horror.
Mystixx doll reboot story [a.k.a. Mystixx: Teen Vamps]: see here for basic details of what I want to do. More detailed summary: Siva wants to be more than just the princess of vampires, and the opportunity to attend school in America (even if her parents say it's for her own protection) gives her the perfect chance to do so. With three new vampire friends and four magic amulets, a powerful bond is set in place between Siva and her closest confidantes: Talin, Azra, and Kalani. Unbeknownst to them, they're about to uncover a world of secrets, backstabbing, love, hate, family, and what vampirism truly is. Might be a series if it gains enough traction, will get more dramatic/scary as the series progresses. I have plans >:)
A Day in the House of Witchez: What's it like being a witch? What's it like attending a secret academy where fashion and magic combine? With each chapter told from the perspective of a different student (as well as some that never made their proper doll debut), find out what a semester at the House of Witchez entails and all the shenanigans that magic can cause. Contains an overarching plot between each character's POV. Very slice of life.
Untold Stories: Ocean O'Connor loves scary stories, especially the stories people tell about their experiences with ghosts, monsters, and other weird beings. They keep the stories collected and transcribed in various composition notebooks, traded for odds and ends as a sort of transaction. When Ocean and their mom move to the quiet town of Argento, Oregon, they catch the attention of the Midnight Society. Having lived and survived through their own encounters, Ocean is interested in turn. But with every new move, there's another Midnight Society to befriend. What the Midnight Society (or societies, I guess) never knows is why Ocean collects these monster stories: Ocean has been through a monster encounter of their own and is using the stories of others to keep that monster at bay. The truth will have to slip out eventually, but that could mean putting all their new friends in a danger they'd never be able to see coming. I'm going back to my roots for this one.
Helpful Hints
. If you want a series where I violently dissect pre-existing lore to perfectly weave a non-canon story into canon events and zero in on timeline stuff, vote for The Red and White Saga
.If you want a series where I take the most bare-minimum already-existing lore and pull an entire complex story out my ass like I'm doing magic tricks for a bachelorette party, vote for Mystixx: Teen Vamps
.If you want a story that's actually feel-good (and not me changing my mind about suddenly adding heavy topics to a story I initially labeled "feel-good") but still want some kind of low-stakes through-plot to keep it a little interesting, vote for A Day in the House of Witchez
.If you want something shorter and a little fucked up but with a happy ending, vote for either the Lalaloopsy Infection AU fic or Untold Stories
.If you want something shorter and a little fucked up but with an ambiguous ending, vote for Escape the Afterlife. If you also want the closest thing I'll get to writing RPF, vote for Escape the Afterlife
. If you want something short (or at least not a series) and heartfelt, vote for In Perfect Harmony
.If you want to feel generally melancholic or want something bordering on historical (fan)fiction, vote for Time in a Bottle
