sometimes, I feel legitimate concern regarding what percentage of Tumblr accounts are actually being run from the planet Gazorpazorp.
(that planet)
Song parody time is cancelled today.
It turns out that writing something called "The Most Offensive Song Ever", to the tune of "Best Song Ever" by One Direction, was not a wise way to go about doing it.
apparently every 3-6 months i get inspired to write a story and begin plotting and everything only to then abandon it and possibly come back again later to take some details and inspo for a whole new thing
I can relate, except I actually write all the stories.
I didn't know that independent media and indie media were the same thing until I was 16 years old. Before then, I used to think "indie media" meant media that was made by Native Americans.
It's good that I know better now
Another thing I used to not know is: it took me until age 14 to realize that organ donors don't donate their organs until after they are dead.
what is something you figured out later in life?

Not that it matters, but I've updated my ranking of every Futurama episode in order of spaciness to account for the newest season. It was the least spacey season by far.
Nine passengers on a bus. Three people vote to drive over a cliff. Two vote to go get ice cream. Four hijack the bus because the driver is trying to murder suicide them. No one dies.
Like it or not. You're on the bus with everyone else.
I'm almost certain that's an allegory!
Alien species I'd like to hear more about
(Not drawn to scale.)
Walkers: a giant race that does nothing but walk around the surface of their planet
Digitigrades: a species who can have anywhere between two and seven fingers on each hand (they'd also have an alien form of segregation called digitism where people with more fingers look down on people with fewer)
Mirrorheads: a kind who can change the shape of their head to match who they're conversing with
Flattons: a race with a two-dimensional digestive system, that travel by walking "across" two-dimensional walls
Startlians: a dimorphic species who can only populate by being caught by surprise
Payshonts: a type whose bodies are made of concentrated patience, and who subsist off of the impatience of other species
Pretentiulons: a small, bookworm-like race that latch onto brains, turn them more pretentious, and replace them
Enphlaminglons: a sort with the exact same biology as an inflatable lawn flamingo (I don't actually care about them. I just wanted to use one to demonstrate an example of what a Pretentiulon does.)
Pedestrons: a species designed to look like traffic lights
The Clientele: a race who all have not a hive mind, but a hive stomach

Try talking to Hubertâ„¢. Wendleâ„¢ can assist you with that. Our AI assistant Suzlyâ„¢ makes help even easier. Grunkoâ„¢ is here to help! Why look up an image when our magical AI assistant Wizloâ„¢ can generate one? He runs on the latest floonge-9â„¢ model! We don't know what that means either. I know you've used our site for a decade, but now we've added Bumpleâ„¢ who's always happy to inconvenience help you! Yeah, we fired everyone, but that's okay because now we have Scrumfyâ„¢ to assist them in finding new jobs!

Quarterly recap of the things my pets and I have done
We all went to the beach.
Milkbone (the dog) and Sugarcube (the horse) became a comedy duet.
We summered at a hotel.
Buttermilk (the cow) recreated a poem and jumped over the moon.
Later, we went mountain climbing,
and, not like it matters, but we adopted a trouble-making fish for a day or so.
We post videos on an irregular basis at Paws-for-Effect - YouTube.

My least favorite trope in shows is when they have an established 'jerk' character, and the reason given for why they're a jerk is 'they won't let me disrespect their boundaries'
my opinion on the matter:
climate change? yep, it certainly does.
SCP articles I'd like to see
Seeds that grow into houses
A ritual allowing people to turn themselves into bubbles
A human who can shoot lights from his hands, and is terrible at it
An explosive device that turns anything it blows up vegan (for example, a plate of pork would turn into tofu)
An entity that's only visible under blacklight, but blacklight is also its weakness
The tail of an animal that the Foundation is still trying to locate the head of... and its tail is getting shorter by the minute
A pet fish species that "purifies" water by turning into acid... also, it can't survive in acid, so their lifespans are short
Semantic glue, that glues things together at a semantic level, usually resulting in a pun (for example, a lemon glued to a cat creates a sourpuss) (maybe it can be a -J article)
Novelty glasses that make the wearer see the world as if it were an editorial cartoon when worn
Shoes that turn their wearer into the center of gravity when switched on
Oh, hey! what a nice shopping list you've got there! ooh, I see you wrote "H2O" when you meant water. how innovative of you! I wonder what you did with that one second you saved. you must have had so much free time with that moment - you're obviously using that time to conduct something super-valuable, because you're spending $4 to buy something you could just get with a reusable thermos and your kitchen sink.
And you must be some kind of super-genius to know that the water you want to buy is chemically pure dihydrogen monoxide; it's obviously not salinated, chlorinated, iodized, or anything, according to what you wrote. how accurate you are to say "H2O"!
And you obviously need a lot of it. I mean, whatever super-scientific place you work for that would require you to write everything with its chemical name sure doesn't sound like the kind of place that would have water fountains... oh, I'm sorry, (H2O)Ca-2Si3O6-2Al2O3-Fe-K's... everywhere you go.
Oh, and it's also wise of you! drinking water sure is a healthy choice. no wonder you wrote an abbreviation. it must be so healthy that you want to cut as many corners as you can! no wonder the rest of your shopping list is canned fruits and freezer-burnt dinners. I should be worried sick... it looks like it would break your pretty little wrist if you had to put in the unimaginable effort it took to write down all five letters of W-A-T-E-R. I wish you the best of luck on your grocery shopping; you already have it so hard.
Person Dies
A satirical news article by the Babylonion Clickbean
EVERYTIME, ANYPLACE - Recently in Celebrityville, known famous person A. Person has confounded fans and observers alike by engaging in an inconceivable process known as "dying". Nobody was prepared for such an occurrence.
Person was known to have one of many health complications, which historically almost never cause anything bad to happen, and lived until the age of ninety-bleven, which makes this especially sad, because humans usually live to almost four-fifths of that length of time.
One fan, who has never personally met Person and can't remember a single one of his roles offhand, called Person's death "heartbreaking", and within seconds, added his picture to the already-full heaven meme.
According to the tone of the responses of people, the tragedy is heightened because this is the first time in history that anybody has ever died. Person was later memorialized in a ceremony mentioning a lot of people, and buried in a very full place.
The event was made a little less surprising by the fact that the death happened to an Earthling, a species who is notoriously unfamiliar with the idea of mortality salience. One can only hope they learn to correct this memory lapse in time for galactic auditions.

oh, you want a first job? come and work in this fast environment where you have to make things for scores of customers, and stack and lift and handle heavy things and scoop and wash your hands and work all night! here's minimum wage.
oh, you want a satisfying, well-paying job where you get to do no more than fill out spreadsheets, press keyboard keys, and have benefits? all you have to do is have a multi-page résumé and work at the above paragraph for years because before you get this job for the first time, you have to have years of experience working at this very job! it still won't help you make friends.
conclusion: THINGS ARE HORRIBLY, TERRIBLY WRONG.
