丢失// Youngjae && Jisoo
@mpjisoo
This wasn’t unusual. In fact it was pretty common. Not that Youngjae could be in any way proud that he finished class and work and then went to drink until he couldn’t remember. He hated when people told him he was lucky not to feel pain, he was anything but lucky. He was a monster and it was near impossible to live as a monster. Youngjae went to the Magic Carpet, he’d been to Minx last night and Minx just reminded him of the family that had run away. The family that had left him here, just when he’d thought he might find a place to belong.
Not that he could blame them, they might have had the same father, but it seemed like they were just better people than he could ever hope to be. They weren’t monsters, they were people who had the misfortune of a monster for a father, but Youngjae, Youngjae was a monster just as his father had intended. He was the one who couldn’t control his power, who hurt everyone and even his own mother hadn’t wanted him.
He didn’t know how many beer’s he’d had but at this point he didn’t care as he finished up the latest in a line of them. His tolerance to alcohol was high which was more than a little frustrating when all he wanted to do was drink until he couldn’t feel anymore.
It was the late night grind and Jisoo could feel her eyes growing heavier as the night wore on. Mixing drink after drink was starting to get to her, and the pungent smell of fruit began to permanently permeate her nose. It wasn’t unusual to see members trying to drown themselves in their drinks, and the young man to the right of her seemed to be doing just that. He looked like he was either going to break something or burst into tears. She could relate as she felt one or both of those emotions more than half the time. Making her way over to the side of the counter nearest to him, she plopped down her specialty drink in front of him. Lemon and lime mixed with a tinge of rum, a spalsh of vodka, and peach schnapps to seal the deal.
Gently clearing her throat to get his attention, Jisoo flashed him a sympathetic grin. “Looks like you’re having a rough night there hun, I thought some of my signature drink might boost your spirits. After all drinking that much beer is bound to make you feel more depressed. If you ever want a shoulderto cry on or anything, my shift’s over in ten, you can meet me outside by the benches.”
Turning back around towards the rowdy customers clamoring for drinks, Jisoo felt a twinge of sympathy in her stomach. The poor guy the only thing worse than drinking while sad, was drinking while sad and alone. She hoped that she could at least alleviate some of his burden, but then again she was just a stranger, he might want nothing to do with her after all.
