PH402 Social Media Module, Analysis Activity One
The Facebook pages for both San Diego County and San Francisco leave something to be desired. For such large cities it was disappointing to see the amount of responses and comments on the page. San Diego had only 17,000 likes in comparison to the significantly larger number of likes held my San Francisco at 250,000. This leaves a large number of people within theses specific areas who are not engaged in socia media. The lack of pertinent information, specific and targeted to the specific demogramphics is the downfall of both pages.
They could be redesigned to highlight the cities in more specific ways using both the light and heat aspects of ELM. Both pages could increase traffic by correctly using hashtags and posting specific to the facebook pages could be some ways to increase site traffic.

I agree that both countyās Facebook page are weak in gaining attention by the residents. Both pages do not reflect the various demographic communities associated with the city; thus, the frequency of visits ( likes, shares) correspond to this lack in posts. I agree that these Facebook pages need more attention from a social media analyst.Ā
