john is a dog, i wanted him to be a very easily lovable animal, and what better than mans best friend. his attitude of being the center of attention also fits.

paul is a cat, mostly because i figured his face would translate well into being a cat. cats are also super lovable like dogs. and it compliments john being a dog, i think.

george is a hare. hes a skinny guy with big ears who likes plants. he keeps his ears lowered but they pop up if something surprises him. it all adds to his quiet persona

ringo is a sea otter. he just looks like a sea otter to me. did you know that sea otters bang rocks against oysters. i know he stands out as a sort of weird animal but ringo the real man stood out too.
