Another guide page to go along with my game concept. I really want to have a more intricate food system to make it more like a survival game rather than another hack and slash dungeon game. My goal is to make the player feel like they are surviving in this world rater than simply slaying everything in their path.
I don't include it on this page, but I feel like a food spoiling system would be a great way to discourage players hoard mountains of food. I dislike how in Minecraft food never become a problem after you kill a couple of animals. A spoiling system would mean players would strategize their meals.
In case my handwriting is bad:
Despite the circumstances, there are unlimited cooking options in the Dungeon. Try combining ingredients together and see what kind of delicacy or concoction you can create.
Now that you've collected some ingredients, let's get cooking! You'll find that depending on the ingredients, a series of cooking minigames will begin to play. The better you perform on the minigames, the better the dish will be!
