This is me, my name is Kelli and Iâm 17-years-old, battling cancer for the third time. I have less than a year to live and the only thing I want to do more than anything before I die is meet Ellen. Sheâs my sunshine. Sheâs the reason I wake up everyday and I watch her show every morning. She just radiates so much joy and happiness and she gives me hope. Itâs really my dream to be able to meet her. Unfortunately, due to a long waiting list, the Wish Foundation told me I probably wouldnât be able to meet her within my short timeline. But I see miracles happen all the time.. therefore I wonât give up on my dream. I thought that maybe if this gets enough attention, someone from the Ellen Show would come across it, or maybe even Ellen herself will know of me and my wish to meet her. Please, help me make my wish come true. Â

It was far from difficult to see that Hayley wasnât a part of the Jared Hughes fan club. There had always been a distrust in her chocolate eyes, a thinly veiled attempt at peace with the sire to her daughterâs father. If Hayley had her way Jared was certain heâd be sent packing far from here for, well, eternity. The best part of the whole thing? Heâd hardly said more than a handful of words against the hybrid, had done nothing to cause her intense distrust, and yet managed to earn it all the same.
He had a sneaking suspicion that she simply didnât like that he was a vampire, or a hunter, or sired to Klaus. She didnât trust him because she simply didnât trust what he was, rather than whom.
Wasnât there a saying that went along with that sort of judgement? âDonât judge a book by itâs cover.â
Oh well, it wasnât as if Jared was pining for Hayleyâs affections. Frankly he couldnât care much less for the werevamp save for the fact that she was Hopeâs mother. No kid deserved to grow up without a mother, especially not one that was Klausâ offspring. She needed Hayley if there was any hope the girl wouldnât turn out some insane psychopath.
Though as he stood rocking the baby in his arms, humming the gentle tune to calm her wails and cries, and sensed Hayley standing in the doorway â there was a part of him that wanted to impress her or something. To show her that, just maybe, he wasnât the scum scraped off beneath the sole of her boot. That he deserved better than all this bullshit heâd found as the definition of his life these days.
Or maybe he didnât.
Holding the child with a careful set of hands, continuing to brush soothing circles around her back as she nestled against his chest, he tipped his head in Hayleyâs direction thoughtfully. âMust be a gift,â he murmured in a soft voice, not wanting to startle the child just as she was beginning to fall back to sleep once again.
A brief, breathy sort of chuckle left him at her final question, head shaking back and forth quickly. âMe? No. Iâm not really âfather materialâ.â He was a hunter before he was a man, a vicious killer before even surpassing his teen years. He was never the kind of man to bring a child into his world, into this life.
Perhaps he was father material, but the path that his life had taken was hardly baby proofed.
"Honestly I think she just likes the sound of my voice," He murmured after a brief pause, tipping his chin down to his chest to study the child cuddled against him. "Not really that much of a gift."
A soft smile reached the corners of Hayley's mouth as she watched the two, hazel orbs reaching Jared's green ones when he mentioned not being father material. As far as Hayley saw, the hunter seemed to built for parenting. Hope was pretty much a happy child who liked everyone, but when she became cranky, she was cranky. No cuddles or cooing from the wolf could ever calm her daughter. Jared had seemingly calmed the child down in less than fifteen minutes. It made Hayley question again if she was even mother material. That was a thought that hit her all too often.
"Oh I don't know, you seem to have more than a gift to me. My voice does nothing to calm her down, so I think you are definitely father material." The hybrid took a few steps into the nursery, eyes shifting from Jared's to the little one in his arms. She did nothing to even signify taking Hope from his arms though. In fact, for the first time ever, Hayley was content watching someone else take care of the baby. That in itself seemed like a milestone to her, especially being that it was Jared who held her. He seemed so happy with the bundle in his grasp, and Hayley started to wonder if maybe he wasn't such a bad guy.
"I'm sorry for being such a jerk. Honestly. That was uncalled for and I really had no reason to be...that way towards you. It's just I have a hard time with vampires, even now...and I guess even Klaus's right hand man was not an exception. It's just a wolf thing, and I guess I just never embraced the new half of me. But I'm sorry, you seem like a good guy."
Hayley spoke softly, taking a seat in a rocking chair on the other side of the crib. It was true, her apology, and after being so extremely rude to the vampire, perhaps an apology needed to be said. After all, Hayley had made it clear of her hate towards Jared on the phone when Klaus had called to tell her that Jared would be staying with them. She had also made sure Jared could hear every word spoken to Klaus. It had been so bad that Klaus called Jared to order him to stay, just so the vampire would not be forced to leave by an annoyed mother hybrid.
The brunette cast the vampire an apologetic grin, clasping her hands together as she surveyed the two again, Hope already asleep, her breath falling into pace with Jared's heartbeat. If she had a camera, and Klaus would not want to burn it, it probably would have been considered a picture perfect moment. And somehow that kind of hurt the mother instincts deep within her.
"I'm sorry for hogging Hope so much too, I'm terrified of this mother thing, and sometimes I get scared that maybe I'm not all cut out to be what I have to be. I have to be a mother, a pack leader, and a wife in two weeks, and somehow the mother thing is what creeps me out the most." Hayley chuckled lightly after her small confession, treating it lightly as if it weren't so horrifying as it so truly was for her. In truth she was terrified of all of those titles, and yes, mothering a baby was what struck her the most. "Sometimes I wonder if I'm not the mothering type."
motherofhybrids liked for a starter.
Rebekah grumbled, she always had something to grumble about- and so would anyone else living with the family she had. Her feet heavy and petulant on the stairs as she stormed away from her problems, heading towards her bedroom before hearing a familiar shuffling from the room across to hers. Rolling her shoulders, she opened Hayleyâs bedroom door without warning nor invitation, sighing and flopping down on the other girls bed.Â
"Today keeps getting better and better," She huffed, letting her eyes shut, barely glancing at the woman who gave birth to her niece. Theyâd come to an understanding, and what rebekah could understand, they had a friendship to go with it- female companionship was something she lacked. Enjoying Hayleyâs company whilst she had it.Â
Hayley stared dully at the laptop in front of her, fingers scrolling past the numerous articles titled 'Wolf curses' and 'How to cure werewolves'. In all honesty if she could see herself, she probably would have laughed, but then again, the girl was entirely desperate. Her wedding was in a week, and second thoughts about it were keeping her awake at all hours of the night. Napping in the day was even impossible. And so, like the logical person with pre-wedding jitters she was, Hayley was desperately searching for answers that would probably never come.
It actually didn't surprise her when Rebekah stormed into her bedroom, actually it only really surprised her when Rebekah flopped onto her newly made bed, crinkling the silk duvet cover that never seemed to stay neat anyway. Rebekah had a habit of storming into places where Hayley resided just to relay her problems, but she rarely flopped onto her bed. Usually the blonde would just linger in the doorway or something. Well that meant something was probably really bothering the Original.
"You know, I heard grumbling and someone storming up the stairs, and somehow I knew it had to be you. Who else would come storming through my door?" Though the words were spoken sarcastically, there was not a hint of displeasure behind them, and actually, a smile played on the wolf's lips. Rebekah could be annoying at times, but she was hardly bad company. She was actually one of the very few females, if not the only female, that could even put up with Hayley's antics. For some reason girl's just never liked the she-wolf, whether she tried to be friends with them or not. Thankfully Rebekah was an exception. "Okay, spill. What's going on now? Don't tell me...problems with Marcel? Or someone new?"
Valentine Thoughts II Closed II Gentlemen-Elijah-Mikaelson

I am not one for Valentineâs dayâŚHowever, you are the exception to many rules as it would seem.
As beautiful as this bouquet isâŚit does not hold a candle to you. I hope you have a good day.
All my love,
Elijah
The she-wolf didn't even know she had started to cry until the salty taste of tears dribbled past her lips, landing onto the handwritten note in her hands. The writing started to run fervently underneath the tears that soaked it, and before long she jolted the paper away from the white dress she adorned, not wanting ink to ruin it. A stained wedding dress was worse than not wearing one at all.
Today was her wedding day, the wedding to Jackson that would free the wolves from a curse they both feared and disliked. But as the vase of white roses so boldly proclaimed, it was also another day. A day that represented love. The irony in both of those scenarios was enough to cause Hayley to silently laugh in bitterness. A man who could never earn her true love, and a man who she could never truly have. Both men vowing for her attention, and only one who would win. Why did Elijah have to remind her of that? Why could he not respect her decision? But no. He had to leave a vase of flowers, a note written from his heart, on the day of her wedding.
That was when she heard the footsteps. Heavy, but definitely not Jackson's. Regal but not with the self confidence of Klaus. Hayley knew who it had to be before the figure even announced themselves. With a small turn of her head, the hybrid glanced up to see Elijah standing in the doorway, suit and tie, handsome as ever. For a brief moment she wished he would be the one she could joke about 'seeing the bride before the wedding.' But she couldn't, because she wasn't marrying Elijah. "Thank you. For the flowers I mean. They are gorgeous and I honestly did not expect to receive anything today."
Hayley tried her best to sound normal, but every word seemed to come out as strained and hoarse as the next. It was also probably evident by the tear stained cheeks and bleeding ink on the note of how the gift had affected her, though she wished he would choose not to notice. As long as the both of them stayed calm and collected, the ceremony could go on as planned.Â

Stained with Your Blood Red Soul II CLOSED II Gentleman-elijah-mikaelson
Elijah all but ripped the clothes he had on, throwing them across the room. He started to pace for a moment before he breathed deep, calming down as he thought about Hope in the next room and Hayley right outside the door. He concentrated, listening to the babyâs quiet heartbeat thrumming quietly in her chest, the sound of that mixed with Hayleyâs heart beating with hers. He felt himself calm and he managed to get himself together long enough to dress.
He pulled on new slacks, tugged on a button up and was tying a tie when he opened the door and looked down at the hybrid in front of him. âI havenât told anyone the depth of this,â he shook his head. He reached out and brushed his hand over the side of her face after he finished with his tie. âIâm fine, Hayley,â he said to her as he gave her a small smile. âIâm getting betterâŚ.I would not put you or Hope in danger if I wasnât. We all need to go out for a walkâŚ.just a short one, then if you still wish to return and watch a movie we will,â he told her. âPlease?â
In truth, he wanted to do something with her besides being cooped up in these four walls. He was going to lose her to Jackson in the next coming weeks, and he wanted some memories to himself besides the ones in this house. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead again before he went into the babyâs room and carefully picked her up, closing his eyes as he breathed her in, feeling even more calm than before. He headed back to Hayley and stood in front of her, âI will not hurt either of youâŚeverâŚAnd if I even attempt to, I will have Klaus kill me,â he told he truthfully.
Just like that Hayley knew the severity of Elijah's problems. It was evident from how his breathing peaked as he told her no one knew the depth of it. It was evident when he reassured her he was getting better. As far as the she-wolf understood, Elijah was not progressing, he was slowly but surely on a mental spiral downwards. Though for some reason it did not scare her as much as it probably should.
"Yeah, yeah okay, Let's go for that walk then. But promise me something? After you cool down, after the episode is fully over, you have to be honest with me and you have to promise you will talk to me. Or at least talk to Klaus. He may be quite a jerk at times, but he is your brother and I don't need to be the only one to know." The brunette eyed the original carefully, her hazel orbs concentrating on him even as soft lips brushed her skin. Hayley fought the urge to just wrap her arms around his solid figure in the moment, knowing that Elijah needed to get to fresh air as soon as possible. It worried her though, how evenly and quickly he snapped. How strange her nightmares had been. What if there was some sort of foreshadowing?
With much effort the hybrid pulled from his grasp, going to wait near the door as he fetched her daughter. The sight of both of them brought a large smile to her face that was soon dismissed as reality set in. Elijah made a great uncle, but he also made a great father. A great father that would never come close to even being one. Because of Jackson. Because of the wolves. Because of her. "So, exactly where are we headed? Any baby proof places you have discovered outside of the home?" It was a small joke, but enough to lighten the mood that had suddenly overcome the wolf and everyone around her.
AU: Caged Nightmare II CLOSED II Moonoverbourbon
Klaus didnât respond to her questions about what happened tohim. It wasnât something he wanted to go in to with her, even if the damage had only been temporary. He was the Original Hybrid; he healed even faster than she would. The last thing Klaus wanted was for her to know just what lengths theyâd gone to with him and what they might yet do to her.
Mikael. He should have bloody know that his monstrous step-father had some hand in this matter. Klaus rolled onto his side, sitting up just long enough to spit residual blood onto the floor. He made his way to his feet, using the bars for support. It burned â it burned like hell â but he was never one for giving in.
âI didnât see anyone else,â he said, voice laced with pain and anger at the situation. And yes, my car⌠I was on my way back to the safe house, someone shot out the tires. I assume it was Mikael.â Hands clenched the bars, uncaring about the pain he was causing himself. The rage inside him was something Klaus had never experienced before; sure, heâd been angry over the past thousand years â this thoughâŚthis was all consuming, threatening to swallow him whole.
âWe will get her back,â he stated. Simple. No room for questions. No room for doubts. He would get them out of here; he would find Mikael and put an end to this once and for all.
And they would bring their daughter home.
âWhat have you heard? Any news about where we might beâŚwhat this place is?â
'We will get her back' - it was enough to make Hayley start laughing from manic doubt. Wherever they were, whoever tortured Klaus, they were strong enough to keep the Original hybrid at bay in a cell. They were strong enough to work with one of the sickest creatures on earth, and they were cruel enough not to care about the safety of a baby. The odds of getting Hope back were next to none, and by the way Klaus held onto the vervain laid bars as they sizzled and burned through his flesh, he knew that too. Just like he knew those wolves were the protection Hope needed. Just like he knew the marriage to Jackson would work yet he so excitedly plotted to kill him on her wedding day.
But Hayley did not laugh. She only stared coolly back in his direction, hazel eyes studying the male Original with articulation. The she-wolf ignored his questions and was about to address the very thoughts that crossed her mind when a noise echoed through the stone walls of the cells, causing the hybrid's head to turn quickly in the direction of a door across the room. There was a murky shadow that shown through the other side of the door that she could not make out. It wasn't until the door opened that it was revealed who stood before them. And the sight was not one Hayley took lightly.
"The bastard child. Isn't it ironic that you are a bastard, yet you fathered a retched one as well? Born out of wedlock just like you were. Doomed to live a miserable life just like you. It's actually a shame you created a baby girl. Think of how much longer a male would survive the beautiful deeds I will inflict on it? You cannot even bring male offspring into this world. You were born into my family unwelcomed, and you Klaus, you can rest assured your daughter will meet her end the same way." The hateful words of Mikael Mikaelson echoed through every cell in the cold wet cavern, and they were enough for Hayley to lunge with full hybrid strength, hitting the poisoned metal bars. Bile could be tasted in her throat as the thought of Mikael's words and what they exactly entailed. Had he already harmed Hope? Was he waiting for their reaction? Would he do it in front of the parents that fought to desperately for her?
Mikael seemed all too pleased at Hayley's reaction, casting a smile in her direction as hybrid flesh fried itself on the steel bars. Even more so when her eyes started to glow with the fury of a wolf's anger. But all too soon his eyes darted to Klaus, for this was exactly why any of them were in the predicament. Because of him. Because of that retched son that should have never existed. "You both wonder what this glorious place is? Fancy an explanation do you? Well, I can promise you that no one in your pathetic team of loyalties can escape or rescue you from this place. It is impenetrable, thanks to your glorious mother and sister, Freya. It also seems the American Government has known very little of the existence of Supernatural, and once they were enlightened...who better to run tests on than the very creatures who should not exist. The very creature who cannot die. I promised you death, Klaus, and that is a promise I will keep, But I will not deny myself the treatment of seeing you suffer for eternity before I plunge your heart with that stake."
The vampire stepped ever closer to the cells, only stopping when he was inches from his step-son's grasp. He eyed the male hybrid tauntingly, blue eyes daring the bastard to reach even further out the the jail cell. "Everyone you care about will suffer. They will be tested on, treated like the lab animals they are. You will watch and endure every suffering that is inflicted upon them. I will tear apart the very kingdom you built, I will kill the child you formed, and I will ultimately in the end, take your life. Simply because you exist. Welcome to the Mikaelson and Augustine Private Testing Facility, pity your child had to be harmed by your very own name."
"Just shut up! Shut the hell up!." Hayley heard herself shouting, before she could even help it. In that moment the she-wolf wanted to tear every piece of muscle from the vampire's body. She wanted to inflict everything he taunted them with. All of her previous anger towards the hybrid was forgotten at the time being, and all she could think about was the promise behind every one of Mikael's threats. Sure at the moment this was Klaus and Mikael's battle, Mikael awaiting a reaction from the son he never wanted, and Klaus probably suffering a heart attack from the realization of what would happen to their child. But it didn't matter. Klaus was the father of her child, and whether he screwed up all of their lives or not, he didn't deserve to suffer such a disgusting hatred from a father who clearly had psycho issues.
"Don't touch me!"
"Relax, Hayley, Iâm just trying to help," Jared scoffed, though he backed off, hands lifting in a brief sign of surrender until she agreed that he could lend a hand. "Trust me, I can help if youâll let me."
There; he had hit a cord, just enough to create a slight ripple through her. Struck just hard enough to make the hybrid pause and reconsider, fall back off her pedestal. This business wasnât giving her the sense of sweet revenge she so desired; It just momentarily filled the endless aching pit in her chest with another feeling; guilt, fear - anything not to feel the loss.
He had been there, done that. If she was anything like him in the end it would just stack on top of one another; the pain, the loss, the sorrow, the hurt; it just all melded together into one hefty brick that was carried with the soul. A burden carried by a regretful killer, a blood thirsty vampire, an uncontrollable werewolf.
It was all the same.
Yet when she finally spoke there was no indication of said emotions, just an attitude and strength picked up from somewhere deep within the woman across from him. Admirable, really. âFair enough,â the vampire spoke in a gruff tone, tucking his hands into his pockets as his shoulders shrugged. âThere are better ways than this, but youâre free to do as you please.â
He sure wasnât her mother and he wasnât about to treat her like a child. Especially not when she strode forward again, standing tall, creating a presence of strength - whether false act or reality had yet to be determined.
Silence was what greeted Hayleyâs speech, simply surveying her with a calculating gaze as the determination washed out of her voice in favor of exhaustion. As far as he was concerned she could very well use a good full nightâs rest rather than waking every undead in the city and ripping the hearts out of the chests of every witch. âYeah, well. If I could turn tail and go back to Klaus with that news I would. But alas, blasted sire bond and all, Iâve got nothing but time on my hands and a reckless hybrid to restrain,â he finally spoke, hands splayed out to either side of him in a gesture to indicate he wasnât about to go anywhere any time soon. âMight as well get comfortable with my company. Whatâs next on the big bad hybrid rampage list?â
Hayley assumed that perhaps Jared was slowly giving up on standing against her. That perhaps he would turn tail and run to Klaus like she mentioned he should do. Boy was she wrong. For a moment he seemed pretty intent on leaving her to do whatever she wanted, but then he was cocky again, pretty much declaring that she should 'get used to his company'. The fire of annoyance that suddenly sprung into her hazel eyes was enough to make any human run in fear for their lives. But she did not speak a word, only allowing the heat of the moment to circulate in the room until it could practically be slashed with a knife.
At first the hybrid was tempted to just turn and flee from his presence, but the hunter/vampire was much older than her, which meant he was much more stealthy than she could ever be. That didn't mean she didn't carry her own strengths against him. One quick bite with wolf fangs poised, and Jared would HAVE to crawl to Klaus for aid. That or he would be dead withing a few days. However, the prospect of potentially killing Klaus's minion did not seem all that appetizing, and it actually sounded pretty terrible. Jared had to have some sense of respect, or he would have simply waltzed into the room, cracked her neck, and called it a day. Hayley also wasn't the type to ruthlessly kill someone for her own advantage. Well, that actually could be considered a lie due to the amount of people killed in the past month.
"Fine. Tag along. See if I really care. Something gets too bloody for you? You can either join in or crack my neck and call it a day. Though I warn you, if you choose the latter, I will sink my fangs so deeply into your veins that you will be vomiting werewolf venom for months. Even after Klaus heals you. Trust me. My bite is much worse than my bark." When Hayley finally spoke, it was evident that she was more than put off by his cocky and almost mocking attitude. Which was probably what he wanted. Still, it did not do him any good if he wished to restrain her. The she-hybrid would bring the voodoo wacko's to their knees whether Klaus wanted her to or not.Â
With a small sarcastic smile that did nothing to light up her eyes, Hayley turned around curtly, waltzing out the old New Orlean's mansion's door. If he would actually follow after her was to be determined - but like Jared had so poetically put it; 'blasted sire bond and all.' - She pretty much expected he'd be on her heels soon. "You coming to the French Market or am I going to have to kill the vermin without an onlooker?"

"I'm afraid of back stories"
"Why? Skeletons in the closet?" Rebekah teased, crossing one leg over the other as she swirled her glass gently as not to slosh her whiskey over the brim. It was always a nice night in, sat in front of the fireplace, a bottle of booze to share with someone- even better if it was someone she could actually stand.Â
"Here I thought you were fearless," She ribbed mercilessly, though with a soft understanding smile- because whilst the past was done and dusted, it had a tendency to bite you in the arse on more than once occasion.Â
"Tequila too?" Rebekah asked, eyeing the numerous bottles in Hayleyâs arms- of course she had her own stash, but sheâd keep that to herself and let Nikâs bottle count dwindle like the Titanic. Swaying her hips slightly as she tried to decide on a CD to put on.Â
"I donât know, my last day as indestructible vampire? I think it calls for a more upbeat tone, donât you think?" rebekah commented, pulling out a random CD that sheâd put to the side. "Johnny Cash is more of Nikâs taste anyways, I like the more modern music which people are producing. So we might as well make it on hell of a party.â
The hybrid cocked her head slightly at Rebekah's remark about Klaus. She would have never thought the King of New Orleans would have listened to Johnny Cash. He seemed like a classical music sort of person, or a blues/jazz man. Who knew. Rebekah seemed fully intent on spending her last night blazing, which was just what the she-wolf wanted as well. A good way for the girls to get to know eachother...if only for a short time.
"Johnny Cash? I would have never put him and Klaus in a room together...interesting. Well, party's all yours. I don't know what you want to start out with, but I like to start with the hard, blend into the soft stuff, and end it hard again. Which means...the tequila will probably be my baby for a while if you don't mind."
Hayley held the bottle of alcohol high as if it were a trophy, handing the red wine and absinthe to the vampire in front of her. A mishevious smile splayed across her lips as the beat of the music started to play, and tipping the bottle back, she engulfed a few mouthfuls, letting the clear liquid tingle every sensor in her throat. The stuff definitely went down hard, No wonder everyone did shots. "Let's get this party rolling!"

All my love,

gentleman-elijah-mikaelson Thank you so much...I honestly don't know what to say...
motherofhybrids liked this post for a starter! Status: Accepting but really, really slow
Jared was never good with babies. It wasnât as if he really had the chance to grow accustom to nurturing a child; he was fourteen and an only child when his parents were murdered and since then he hadnât exactly settled down with anyone to have children of his own nor did he have many friends that stuck around for which he could care for their children. Then, of course, there was Klaus.Â
Baby Hope, in Jaredâs eyes, was both a blessing and a curse. She was adorable and the vampire couldnât help but adore her with every fiber of his being, but being trusted with her care? Now that wasnât necessarily the best of ideas. He may have lived nearly two hundred years, but was he supposed to know the first thing of changing a diaper or feeding with a bottle? Was there a difference between a human baby and a hybrid vampire, werewolf, witch anomaly that he held in his hands? Yet she was wailing and Jared was the closest at hand, so he had gone into the nursery with intentions of soothing the child to the best of his abilities. Which, frankly, were rather limited. But it seemed his subtle rocking and pacing was doing some good, for the wails had lowered to subtle whimpers as little fingers curled into his shirt and face nestled into his shoulder. Well, nightmaresâŚnightmares were something he was finely tuned into and familiar with. âThere, there. Itâs just a dream, sweetheart,â he murmured in a soft undertone to the child, fingertips gently tapping along the babyâs back and a melodic hum rumbling in the back of his throat as he ran through the beat of the first nursery rhyme to come to mind. The tune petered out rather unceremoniously when he turned towards the doorway to find Hayley standing there watching him closely. âShe - uh, she seems to be calming down a bitâŚâ
When the safehouse had blown up, leaving the entire structure un-salvageable, Klaus had immediately moved Hope to the compound. If a house six hours away could not keep a baby safe, then where better to keep her than right under your sight? It was not as if the entire world knew, and as the King of New Orleans had assured Hayley, it was only temporary. Keeping their daughter in the city could prove safe for the time being, but it would only become dangerous in a matter of time.
With the responsibilities of a parent came the ruling nights of crying children. Hope may have been a super-hybrid, but she was no exception to that rule. Every night since Hope had returned she had cried, the wailing echoing every hallway until Hayley reluctantly slinked out of bed to comfort her child. Klaus of course did his part, but with evidence of Finn causing stirs in San Diego, the Original had of course left to put an end to the forever threats that would seek their daughter. This did not come without hardships though, and as Hayley continually suffered through sleepless nights of feeding and soothing a baby, Klaus had ordered Jared to aid in the caring of Hope until he returned. - much to Hayley's resistance.
It wasn't that the hybrid extremely disliked Jared, but she never was able to trust the vampire. He had a strange relationship with his sire that bordered on hatred, but the extreme loyalty that came with the bond. Jared never really had done anything to earn the distrust of anyone, but it was just the fact that he was...a vampire that she distrusted him. Call her crazy, but Hayley found it easier to trust her previous lineage than the one that had been forced upon her. Wolves she knew. Wolves were her very family, but vampires? Vampires she had been taught to hate since triggering, and being a hybrid did not change that.
A baby;s wail awoke the brunette from her much needed sleep, Hayley bolting up to calm the child's woes. With a exhausted sigh she grabbed hold of a silk robe, tying it around her waist as she walked exasperatedly through the dark corridors. 'Why don't I just move into the nursery?' She thought as she neared the room, crying suddenly halting. A small humming noise could be heard from the hallway as the wolf neared the doorway, the soft melody of 'Rock a Bye Baby' filling the air.
At first, Hayley was cautious, hazel eyes unsure of what to make of the scene that came into sight as she entered to doorway. But for a moment she had to pause. There the vampire stood, hybrid baby in his arms as he cooed to her, soft babbles replying to the hunter earnestly as Hope focused on the hem of his shirt. Jared held the child in a way that could be described none other than fatherly, and it was clear he enjoyed his moment with the baby. -with Hayley always insisting on taking care of the thing, and Jared to go off and help with other stuff., he never really had a chance to get to know her. The scene looked quite peaceful and for the time being, Hayley forgot her distrusting woes.
Jared seemed to soon sense her presence, however, because he soon turned in her direction, announcing what already seemed to be obvious. Hayley only smiled softly, leaning against the doorframe as she observed the two. "Well, you handle her like an expert, I can't calm her down that well." The truth was, she knew very little of the Vampire henchmen, only that he was a hunter and that he was sired to Klaus. Nothing more. "Did you ever have any kids of your own?" The question was simple, and held no trace of hidden displeasure or distrust that she often held towards him.
