Option on Lila and Bob?
I was saving this image for my next doodle dump but now seems just as good of a time
I imagine that, in order for someone to become a cannibal serial killer, they'd either A) have to had a shitty upbringing, or B) grew up with undiagnosed mental illness. Bob's home environment I imagine wasn't great, and it wasn't great for his sister Linsy either.
I think they have a niece - uncle relationship. Bob is clearly older than her, but they have a history together that I doubt is just a random meeting one time. I imagine the reason he brought the meat for that party during Lila's childhood is because they were related and he got invited. Some years later he was caught by authorities and Lila saw his name on the news.
I think she misses the old him, the him that gave her and the other kids candy, told weird facts by the grill, and played along with her antics. Bob however, who clearly has some fuckery going on in his brain, is more so focused on "I've wanted to eat this girl for years I literally can't wait any longer" I'm sure any bond they created during her childhood was created with the intention of eventually consuming her. Sure, he had some bouts of affection here or there, but those were just bumps in the road, right?
