It really seems like you're going through it right now, and I hope things get better for you soon. I've been wanting to send you a note for a while now saying just how much I *LOVE* your art!!! It's gritty and visceral, of course. But there's this sort of intangible quality to it that I can't quite describe. So much of it has a kind of quietly unsettled feeling that's beautifully subtle yet undeniable. Like when the sky turns green before a big storm? Some standouts to me are the pig, brightly dressed with a cheerful daisy crown, happily eating fresh, glistening entrails. I think it's the little details in this one: the reflective eyes, the crooked nose *really* sell it. Also, The Twins. The concept! True, quiet, understated horror. It's stuck with me since you posted it. And of course, the Ganlink ones, just because, well, Zelda is where I'm at. They're so BLEAK in a way I never see, and not in any obvious way! I think the color palette has a lot to do with it? I don't know. It's super cool. Anyway, I hope this is all coming across as complimentary as I intend it to be. In any case, I hope you have a really awesome day.
hey thanks for this! it actually means more to me than you realize. life is really weird rn, and my art is reflecting that. i find the color green really helps convey the weird, looming sickliness that lives inside me. i probably need therapy but art is good enough for now lmao. but honestly most people tell me my art makes them genuinely sick to their stomach, so truly, thank you for your kind words✨
