Honestly, I don't understand the reason for humans need for destruction. I don't mind being alone and having my fun writing, drawing, and listening to music by myself for various reasons. One being the fact that I'm never truly alone. I try to be grateful everyday I truly do. Even in my times of silent serenity I find comfort in the life that surrounds me. Rarely is there ever a time when I'm alone I don't find some sort of worm or caterpillar on my pant or phone. I even found lovely fauna and flora that I didn't think I would ever see in my school grounds. Like mushrooms, caterpillars, spiders, and many more bugs/animals. And yet, it simply had to come to an end during my years of study, slowly this school is becoming more and more of a prison as years pass. It's becoming unbearable and I don't know how much I can handle.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.
Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
Saw your post about the periodic table? I would recommend starting from the basic atomic structure first! Knowing about protons, neutrons and electrons would help you understand the periodic table better. Then you can move on to the numbers listed on the table like mass number and proton number. After that you can familiarise yourself with the groups and periods! Many groups have certain traits that they share amongst themselves.
It also helps to learn basic chemical bonding. Many elements have incomplete atomic shells which causes them to act a certain way, which would link back to the behaviour of the groups.
One thing I recommend is not to worry about not knowing advanced details (like what s-shells mean). You'll learn them in due time!
Good luck! Could come off anon to help iyw but it'll all fit in in due time. It just takes a while master the basics first!
Thank you so much!! So far I've gon ahead and studied the basic structure on atoms. Real simple I know but I've got that down pact atleast. I will be following your advice though! I got plenty of lovely chemists who commented with practically a step by step on what to study on so I've been hard at work in my leisure time.
Thank you for the help. You get a billion points! ๐ชฒ
(CONTEXT, this was made 2 years ago, I only added information, didn't take anything out, so even the {} is from then hsjsjs)
{ Made this mostly out of spite due to the fact some facts in the class simply sounded wrong to me. Of course since I didnโt wanna speak with an unbeknownst word. I took the time of my four day vacation in order to organize a powerpoint presentation of my time and dedication to my rock obsession. }

- ร Whatโs this project about?
- ร Is the diamond the hardest mineral in the world? If not then which one?
- ร Which is the rarest mineral in the world?
- ร How rare is the diamond? .
- Which programs and studies showed the results of these questions?
- ร What is the cost value of the diamond? Which mineral has the most cost value?

๐ย - This Project is about the duality of how people see the diamond versus how it actually is. The popularized version of this mineral has made its cost more than its value. This mineral has overshadowed its much greater competitors with merely the media and generational culture.
๐ย - With this project I will show you the simple reality of the diamond and bring light to other minerals that are just as interesting if not more than the diamond. Along with also answering my own questions of curiosity with our current class subject in a more detailed manner.

The Hardest Mineral in the World:
Is the diamond the most resistant mineral in the world?
- To put it simply: No the diamond is not the hardest mineral on earth.
Then which one is?
- Lonsdaleite: An allotrope of a carbon atom which is considered a 58% harder material than the diamond because of the enhancement of bone density per unit area and it has hexagonal geometry. Making it stiffer than a diamond.
How did they find this information?
- In 2021 Washington State Universityโs Institute for Shock Physics published a paper stating that they created Ionsdaleite crystals large enough to measure their stiffness confirming they are stiffer than common cubic diamonds.
Iondaleite:
what is a Iondaleite?
- It is classified as a crystal just like a diamond.
Where do they come from?
- They were identified in 1967. Just like Gold they came from a meteorite that came from the mantle of a dwarf planet that was smashed by a large asteroid about 4.5 billon years ago. They were found in Africa.
Can they be replicated in a laboratory?
- Yes, they can be synthesized in a laboratory setting.
Are Iondaleite rarer than diamonds?
- Yes they are. Unlike diamonds that are born from the crust of the earth Iondaleite come from outerspace.
Rarest Mineral?
The rarest mineral is Kyawthuite, a deep orange gemstone found in Myanmar. Only one crystal of this mineral has ever been discovered, and it currently resides in the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
It was found in the Mogok region of Myanmar, known for its precious gemstones.
How rare is a Diamond?
In short, it's not that rare. Gold is actually way rarer than a diamond due to the fact most of it is reused since they can't make more like diamond since diamonds are made of compressed carbon. So we can make that in a lab setting just fine, unlike gold since 28 percent of the gold we have globally is recycled from discarded jewelry or electronic waste.

Diamond
1 carat round diamond prices usually range from $1,366 to $10,631 with an average price of $4,454.
What is the most valuable mineral?
No fricking idea, every website I find says something else and it's confusing since none of them coincide, used the academic google and still didn't help me, sorry!

Hello!! First ever post on here. I'm gonna try to have what would usually be personal studies be posted on here so I can keep track of my cool "factoids" and stuff.
Today is a study of sleep hours. Why? Well I had a class with my science teacher and she said something about how "Kids your age should be jumping around with 6 hours of sleep. While I feel tired with 8 hours."
My first thought is, "Don't kids need more hours than adults? And don't women need at least 9-10 hours of sleep?" But let's be real that is a hypothesis, and I don't have evidence at hand. So my solution? Go get it!
Hypothesis: That women need 9-10 hours and teens an x amount but more than adults.
Hypothesis: That women sleep more than men/more than 7 hours.
Data Collection/Analysis:
Women are 40 percent more likely to have insomnia than men. And twice as much to have restless leg sindrome.
On average, women sleep 11 minutes more than men, yet their sleep is more interrupted and less efficient. Therefore, sleeping but not actually letting their brain rest.
Irregular work schedules can also put strain on family and social life, which can lead to stress and other emotional problems that worsen sleep.
For example, one large study found that female night shift workers have a significantly greater risk of developing breast cancer and cardiovascular disease
^*need to find a source for that information*
In conclusion: Women need a minimum of 8 hours of sleep due to the fluctuations of our hormones and cycles.
Teens actually need 9-10 hours because of the fact that when teens sleep it is not all together. They wake up intermediately throughout their sleep. Being unable to have a deep sleep for 8 hours they have a intermediate one for 10.
However, you may be asking, "Well, my daughter sleeps 8 hours, and she's fine!" Well, actually, she's trying to juggle, school works, social life, and most likely a job too. Meaning that these external aspects are affecting teenagers development.
Considering the school system doesn't help since teenagers naturally get tired at 11pm making it even more difficult to fall asleep before then.
Therefore, the conclusion I have come up with is that teenagers need 9-10 hours of sleep. However, due to external factors they for the most part, do not. Making them be tired, have brain fog, and have worse memory.
