okay so i finally finished chapter 5. spoilers ahead!
main route story review
overall, i really loved it! i see why some people are upset abt the amount of lore, bc thereโs not a ton on the surface and we were expecting a story-heavy chapter. i do think that important things happen in chapter 5 that have significantly altered the plot. i liked all the characters, especially seth, aqua, blue, green, orange, and yellow! i loved what it did for ralseiโs character development by forcing him to recognize the humanity of the darkners. and iโm so excited for my baby noelle to get more time in the party in future chapters! susie sleeping in the closet made my heart feel funnyโฆ iโm so glad she has a home but also it is not real life :( all in all, i loved the story! the festival segments were so cute and sweet. the suselle melted my heart and i am so psyched to see the fanart.
it took me 2 days to beat pink. this fight was So hard, but as the final secret boss i think she was fantastic! there was so much love put into that fight, and the stages are all so distinct and fun. and i am so glad we finally get a proper mew mew fight! fighting flowery was tougher than i expected, but it was also so unique and i love the way it showed ralseiโs character growth.
weird route story review
ohโฆ my fucking god? jesus christ? i played this before i finished my main save because i wanted a break from grinding the pink fight. my girlfriend got spoilers online and was begging me to play it so we could talk about itโฆ it caught me SO off guard. the first few times i played it through i got the aborted ending and kept having to restart. eventually i figured out that you have to hit โproceedโ as quickly as possible, and keep mashing it as they drown. seeing โinsert chapter seven side bโ slooooowly pop up literally sent chills down my spine. iโm so excited for more deltarune!!!
