To the people that know he's secretly a wolf—he openly puts his fur on them. And it'd get kinda annoying because he sheds like a husky.

But for the people who don't know, like the kids at ordon or something, he secretly puts items of his in their belongings. Or he gives them gifts covered with his scent for them to give.

It became a bad habit after he accidentally left some fur on the kids when he left them by Kakariko. But he started to like the fact that some weak monsters would actually run because they recognized his scent. He kinda became proud of it. Midna teased him about it, and he got embarrassed. (He made sure to put too much fur on her helmet; she hated it)
