What game would challenge the grim reaper to for your life?
chess (traditional)
checkers
poker
solitaire (this confuses the grim reaper. perhaps long enough for you to escape)
uno (i personally always carry an uno deck for this exact reason)
D&D
a drinking game (can a skeleton get drunk? hopefully)
monopoly
other (specify in notes)
listen. i accept that i'm mortal. i'll die eventually. if i get to play dnd with the fucking grim reaper then it was all worth it idc about "winning"
Theoretically, under perfect circumstances, assuming perfect attendance to weekly sessions, a standard D&D campaign from level 1 to level 20 can be completed in roughly 6 months.
Realistically, getting a solid D&D group together consistently for that 6 month window is highly unlikely. It will take YEARS to βfinishβ a D&D game, if it ever truly gets finished. Thereβs no winner until the gameβs over, right? If the game never ends, you have no reason to fear death.
6 months? We have been playing our (homebrewed) campaign once a week for 3 years and theyβre not level 15 yet π
