Gave this boi a soft drybrush after an all-over wash of agrax and I must say, I love the way it ties the room together!

I've decided to make this year's resolution to paint more. In February of 2024, my baby daughter was born! Needless to say, much of my focus has been spent on raising her and establishing a routine that works for us. Now that things have settled out a bit, I'm finding more and more time available for hobbying!

Here's a little sneak peak of what I've been working on this holiday break!

I just spent her afternoon nap applying washes to my crypt ghouls and cleaning up my crypt guard. Some of the best painting advice I've ever heard is, "It looks like shit until it doesn't." I'm beginning to step out of the "looks like shit" stage I think, as washes tend to provide some depth and can really tie things together. I'll have some more updates soon....

Progress has been slow lately. However, I've finally gotten all the metal bits based! Yay for small victories!

I think I'll continue by painting one unit at a time, as it's looking a bit overwhelming.

This flesh-eater courts army is based, primed, zenithal highlighted and ready for paint.

Thinking of going with a cool, pale skintone for the ghouls and a more tau-ish recipe for the vampire and varghulf. The mounts I haven't decided on yet... maybe a dark brown skin with black fur? Time will tell...

I've finally begun building the new Flesh-Eater Courts army set! I'm super thrilled to see Usheron's progeny filled in and fleshed out a bit, and brought fully into the Age of Sigmar. I've still got some of the old metal strigoi and ghoul models, which may soon receive some long overdue love as well!
