We still survive;

I’m sorry that I survived,

And if I could go back in time

“You love me?”

“I’m never going to leave you.”

“I promise.”

“Don’t push me away!”

“I trust you with my life.”

“I love the way you hate me.”

“You’re afraid but you don’t have to be.”

“Push me away all you want, I’m going to fix this.”

“I never meant to hurt you.”

“You broke my heart!”

“If I give you my heart, do you promise not to break it?”

“Trust me.”

    The shifter nodded, staring at the silvery eyes in front of her. For a moment, Erin was mesmerized by them, awestruck by the beauty she never noticed. She tried to obey, tears were dripping from her eyes a lot less slower, yet still there. Like the scar that night would leave.

    Emotionally and physically.

    At that moment and no other, she realized she doesn’t say a specific saying enough. Erin knew she would truly regret it if she or he would leave this Earth with out it being the last thing she says. 

A startled laugh fell from the boy's mouth at her sudden statement. Sure that she didn't mean it the way he had accidentally slipped through earlier. His thumbs stroked away the cheeks on the girl with a light smile.

      "I love you too, Erin.." 

          More than you will ever understand. 

The old statement he had heard his mother say popped into his head though he didn't speak it.

          Watashi wa, anata o aishite imasu.

Ackerman leaned forward and pressed a kiss onto Jäger's forehead. It felt wonderful to do that for once. Though he was certain that may be the last time he would ever get the chance.

Another split second pause came before he mindlessly blurted out the statement that occurred earlier.

    Erin felt herself being picked up, the world swirling around her in a blur. She clinged to the male tighter, knowing there was nothing to worry about with him there. Gently,she was placed on her bed and for some reason it felt even safer.  

    Sometimes the chocolate-haired chick was awed of how powerful her brother was, yet so gentle on the inside. Like so full of fury for anybody who’d hurt the girl yet treating her like glass as the same time. He could slay titans, without making a fuss over—.

    The shifter continued weeping silently into the arms of her protector, glad that he had gotten there when he had. She grasped him tightly, nodding to the soothing words he spoke. It was like his voice laced through the air, leaving a perfect reminisce of silk… and Jäger didn’t want to hear anything except. 

      "I won't.." he promised to the girl one more. To himself. Nothing would touch her that night, she would not be without him.

Charcoal orbs looked at the crying female that clung to him. His chest tightened at the sight of her once more.

         If I had only been with her.. 

The words remained unspoken as he rubbed along her back in a calming manner. After a while, he pulled away slightly so he could see her face. Thin digits rubbed away the tears that streaked her cheeks.
