Nightfell

i just can’t put into words how raw and devastating and powerful this image is to me. jacks with eva dead in his arms, his scream so full of agony that it ripples across the magnificent north. him crying tears of blood reminding us how he is always represented as a fate, a heartbroken prince crying red for his lost love.

i'm drowning in a pool of moonlight, my lungs are full of stars

he looks like the midnight sky, from the dark vastness of the night to the bright moon and shining stars, and it's slowly driving me up the wall.

the moon falls from the sky, and a boy rises from the ruins carved by celestial dust

the fire he keeps insisting i have inside of me is alive in his gaze

we'll pretend it's a game of lost and found or maybe even hide and seek and perhaps for a while in the darkness of the night it will be enough until the sun comes bursting for the east and we fall to the flames

i am not atlas, born to carry the weight of this world, i am icarus, wanting and wanting and wanting at the risk of exploding when i fly too close to the sun

but maybe in the dust of lingering defeat, there's room for some victory

"how do i keep from going up in flames?" "you don't. become a blaze."
