XIV: Xion-The Puppet

"It’s quite alright. It’s pretty obvious that even us Nobodies have different preferences in food. I’ll certainly bring you something sweeter next time." He didn’t take offence at all. She at least tried it and that was all he really desired from it. "How have your missions been going thus far, Xion?"

"Missions have been okay, but they're getting more difficult. I... wish I was a little stronger." She mumbled. 

"I don’t love you."

"Yes, they tend to be. I take it you particularly don’t care for sour things."

He looked like he was laughing at her! She felt extremely awkward and rocked back and forth on her feet. "W-well no! It tastes pretty good, I'm just used to sweet things and stuff like that." 

This time, I’ll fight too!

"I used the cucumbers I obtained recently. They were fresh, I assure you." He added in the last comment, noting her hesitation. Not like it was hard to miss.

"Oh! Pickles look strange." She said. She picked one up and took a big bite out of it. She made a sour face and puckered her face up. "It's sour!" She wiggled, squeezing her eyes shut.

Zexion holds out a small box that has a tiny fork, which was apart of the lid, to the younger Nobody. He sets it in XIV’s hand gently.

"Hm? Oh, thank you." She looked over the little box and opened it, unsure of what she was really looking at. "What... what is this?" She asked.

She smiled big and jumped around a bit. Yes! A day off! After the last few weeks of Saix sending her on Suicide missions, she needed a break. And she knew exactly where she wanted to go. The Beach. 

"H-how many of them were there?"

"How can I become a Somebody if I never had a heart to begin with?" She looked down sadly. She knew she could feel. She knew she could do things that most Nobodies could never dream of doing. But how could a puppet ever become human?

Namine paused. This was a difficult subject to talk about, for both of them… The topic was delicate. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t bring this up… I just always thought that you deserved a heart of your own.”

"That's very kind of you, Namine. But even if there are more like me, I just don't think I'm deserving of a heart after all I've done. I've hurt the people I care about. Beings like that don't deserve hearts." She said softly. She felt terrible for hurting her friends.
