Man this song has been on repeat since yesterday. I love this song so much. Suicide nets are nets companies attach to their buildings so that if people try to commit suicide, the net catches them. In this song he paints God and even his children as those nets for those who struggle with suicidal thoughts and depression, etc. He identifies himself with this crowd but yet infuses hope in the song that when you jump, Jesus will be your suicide net. He cares for sure. It's not wrong to want to be free, but suicide is the wrong solution. This makes my heart go out to those who battle with these thoughts and who feel so alone that they want to jump. Like the song says, there's Someone who is close to the lowly and the humble. Those who are broken-hearted.
