“ You sure about that? ” The brutish man doesn’t draw any closer; no, he’s satisfied with the other’s step back. “ I’m pretty sure you’ve had a lot more dumped right into your lap than any non-human in this city has ever had. ” He laughs a dry, humorless laugh. “ Then again, trying to explain that to people like you is like trying to reason with a pile of dirt… isn’t it? ”

“ You’re right. I don’t know anything about you. ” Golden eyes gaze upon the other with blatant contempt. “ Nor do I care in the slightest. Because guess what– ” He takes a step towards the other. “ None of that matters here. ”

     “Listen, man, you’re the one who brought up the past.  I’ve never had anything handed to me.”  On instinct, Joker steps back, but his posture is as rigid and stuff as he can manage.

“ Must have been a shock to the system to learn not everyone’s going to hand you everything on a silver platter, huh? ”

     “That’s cute, since you don’t know anything about me or what I’ve done to make a living.”

- I’m the best damn helmsman in the Alliance fleet.

“Both are pretty fantastic. I saw Star Wars thirty-seven times.”

     “Thirty-seven?  Now that is dedication.  Even if I don’t enjoy the movies, I gotta respect that.”

“That’s what I would do! I’m Madfang Ragewolf, champion of the Archfiend of Valor. Revenge is everything I’m about.”

     When Madfang asked about the revenge, his grin only grew, and Joker nodded.  “Oh, yeah.  Kicked their asses out of our galaxy.”  He could remember that mission vividly, thanks to all the tension and anxiety surrounding such an experience.  More than anything, he remembered the maneuvers he performed, knowing that that was some of his best flying.  “Madfang, huh?  Hell of a name there.  Champion part sounds pretty important,though.”
