Soo, question đ Iâm about to go to b&n soon and I really want to lift there. Ik their blinds boots, but I have no idea how to lift books
Ah, shoot. Iâve actually never taken from B&N but Iâll try to help! I know they sometimes have RFIDS stuck inside random pages (flip through a book to find one) and sometimes theyâre in the cover of the book or under/in any barcode tags. You can slice through them or peel them off to make sure! Iâve heard that the best way to take books is to take in your backpack and study materials (laptop, notebook, etc.) and grab what you want off the shelves. Then sit at a table in the book sections or in the starbucks inside (pref. In a blindspot) and sit there and âstudyâ for a while. After a good amount of time to study, maybe an hour, pack up the books like theyâre yours (check for RFIDS first) and walk right out! Hope this helps :)
I also have taken the tag off of the totes they have there, acted as if itâs mine, and then put whatever I wanted in it! If your b&n has a childrenâs section, thatâs usually a good blind spot :))
It's usually easy to find the rfids they hide in books since they act like mini bookmarks. When I use to lift there it was easy but since then I know locations have been upping security. When I was a normal customer I noticed a SO hiding behind a pillar and like, ninja posing watching some one. There are some good blind spots if you observe the store a bit (or go way too much like I have). I know a while back a common warning in the community was the good journals and moleskin ones had rfids hidden UNDER the plastic wrapping so if that's your target be extra careful.
a dream
so my nearby dollar tree took off thier towers idek why but ya girl aboutta spoil herself with food ;^)
honestly, lifting from dollar stores is the best way to gain experience. the items are so cheap, theres usually minimal security and for the most part theyre free for alls :â)
Honestly. These were lifesavers for me when I was really doing bad.
I use to stop by my local store a lot to grab lunch for work or to grab snacks for my sister that I just couldn't afford in general because of my job (fuck R0$$, that place Garbo).
If you could pls
Inform me about hóóks and mĂĄgnĂŠts or just tÜòls in general I would appreciate it. I havenât used any of these yet in my time and I would like to learn about them, itâd be a real game changer đ things such as where to get them or how to use them or what they work for, what to be cautious of etc. đĽşđĽş pls babes
Where I got my hooks when I first started was Wish. They sell them for like 1-$2 each. I always bought bundles because I lost mine a lot. Surprisingly the hooks worked fine, sometimes it required a little muscle but nothing serious. That's the only tool I ever used though since I primarily lifted at R0$$. Hoped this helped at all
Me if I had lifting buddies

Hey fellas is it ethical to bust someone for lifting when theyâre racist literally within earshot?
Theyâre two girls my age who always come into where I work and theyâre frankly terrible at it
Guys I did it
So hereâs someone elseâs caught story
This time one of the girls was with a different friend. I recognised the first girlâs purple hair streak instantly though. My manager already knows about them
Her friend kept looking up at the ceiling for cams, even though purple streak been here before multiple times (seriously, memorise your blindspots).
I told my manager theyâre in the store and to check her bag when she left (I really didnât know at that point if she stole this time or not, I had to serve other customers too) but the girls took their time
When they finally stepped out the door giggling (seriously learn to be subtle) my manager asked to check their bags. Purple streakâs friend said something like âsorry we have nothing!!â and ran for it lmao. The police mustâve been called bc they were rounding the corner. Purple streak probably saw them bc she didnât run and surrendered her bag. She had two scented highlighters and a keychain, very palmable items and was all âIâm so sorry it was a dare from my friendâ. I told her we âmay have cam footage of you taking stuff in the past as wellâ (a lie, our cameras donât work) and she went all quiet. Then HER FRIEND, WHO COULDVE GOTTEN CLEAN AWAY, CAME BACK. SHE CAME BACK AND WAS LIKE â[name], lets go!â Bruh. You literally walked back to the police.
I went back to serve customers and as my manager was talking to the police, who had both the girls now. at some point purple streak started crying.
My manager later told me the girl confessed sheâs taken stuff before.
I wouldâve felt bad but if purple streak hadnât been making stupid racist remarks about me and my appearance last time, I wouldâve let them get away with it
They wouldâve also gotten away with it anyway if they hadnât taken 20 minutes in the store. Probably if they both ran too.
Have an escape plan, be nice to SAs (some can be petty little shits like me lol) and donât fucking believe the âcamera footageâ story
better than sex is trash, mario badescu is overrated and their rose water is bad for ur skin, lush is for rich vegans whoâs skin can put up with literally anything, urban outfitters is for rich hipsters and exploits their workers, the body shop is owned by lâorĂŠal/nestle, and corporations themselves are the greatest thieves. donât feel bad for slipping a brow pencil up ur sleeve lol
Mini birthday haul

Holy hell, a mood.
PLACES THAT ARE EASY TO LIFT FROM (IN MY OPINION)
So Iâve gotten a few messages about beginner friendly or just easy to lift from stores, so hereâs my list of stores that I find to be easy. Please keep in mind that you should always be cautious and trust your gut, every store location is different with different camera locations and has different employees! You should still scope for cameras and use caution as you would in a harder store. Hope this post helps!
1. Payless Shoe Source. Iâve been to a handful of Payless locations in 2 different cities and have never had an issue getting shoes from here! Only one location out of 4 or 5 that Iâve lifted from used tags, but they can easily be removed with a magnet in a blind spot. Iâve noticed that some stores only have cameras over the register, while some stores have cameras in random aisles (in this case just take the pair you want and conceal in an aisle with no cameras). Be sure to fill the empty box you leave behind with a random shoe from a different pair and walk out with your new shoes!Â
 2. Hobby Lobby, Michaelâs, Craft Stores. I hit Michaelâs or Hobby Lobby all the time and have never had any sort of issue in these stores. Neither of them use RFIDâs or any other sort of tag, but you should still double check packaging just to be sure. Cameras are typically in jewelry/bead aisles, sticker aisles, etc. so avoid concealing in those. Take your items and conceal in a blind spot, usually Michaelâs and Hobby Lobby have plenty of aisles with no cameras hovering above. These stores also usually have no chase policies and are generally easy to lift from.Â
3. Office Depot, Staples, Office Max, any office supply store. I havenât paid for school supplies in years. The stationery aisles usually have no cameras whatsoever, all of the cameras are usually covering the more expensive items like laptops/electronics, printer ink, etc. The stationery is a free for all! Iâve even lifted headphones from these stores, just take it and conceal in any of the many blind spots. (Office supply stores are easy AF, but you should still check the store for camera locations and watch out for employees/other customers). They also have no chase policies. Enjoy your pens, pencils, sticky notes, notebooks, etc.!
4. Barnes and Noble. (Make sure your store has two stories!!) My game plan for B&N is always the same. The first floor usually has cameras everywhere, but the second floor has plenty of blind spots. This is the only store where backpacks arenât extremely sus to wear! Dress academic-looking (does that make sense?), I often carry my school bag and have never had an issue! Wander around the first floor, look through books, carry the ones you are interested in, make your way to the second floor, pick up more books, then find a spot to sit on the second floor!!! My B&N has chairs scattered throughout, but if those are occupied I just sit on the floor in between bookshelves and pretend that Iâm reading!! My second floor only has cameras above the comic book section. I usually sit in the religious or self help book sections because those aisles have less traffic. I stack my books next to me and keep my backpack on the other side, then decide which books I want and which ones Iâll put back, then flip through every single page of the books I want to lift. B&N often sticks RFIDâs on random pages so this step is a must! Act like youâre actually reading if someone comes by, donât just flip through the pages quickly or that will be sus! When youâre done, unzip your backpack quietly and stick the books in there. Take the pile of books that you donât want and put them back, look around some more, then walk out.Â
5. Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Drugstores. (This is not including Walmart or Target, Iâm only talking about single standing stores like the ones listed!) Walgreens usually has cameras above the makeup sections, but cameras are not actively monitored and I believe they have a no chase policy! I used to lift makeup from here when I first started years ago and was a little sloppy but never got caught. The Rite Aids and CVS in my area donât have cameras above beauty, so it is a makeup buffet! Watch out for RFID stickers as some stores use them to deter shoplifting. They are easily peeled off and most of the alarms donât work even if you do beep (but peel them off just to be safe).Â
6. Bath and Body Works. B&BW are even easier on days where they arenât too busy. I try to avoid holidays or huge sales because the store will be crowded, which means you have to be extremely careful of someone seeing you conceal. Busy days also mean more employees on shift! Bath and Body Works have no cameras so take what you want and conceal behind a display. Be quick when concealing and pretend to be interested in shopping, looking and smelling the items. Donât stay in the same spot for too long, conceal and go the the next display. The only thing you really have to look out for here is other people, as there are no tags on their items either!Â
7. Bed Bath and Beyond. Bed Bath and Beyond sells a variety of items, and cameras are usually scattered covering the expensive household items, but leave tons of areas with no camera coverage. Some BBBâs have a beauty section with only one camera covering makeup, which is extremely easy to avoid/find a blind spot! If your BBB doesnât have beauty/cosmetic aisles, they still have other stuff useful of lifting. I like lifting yankee candles from here, as well as kitchen utensils. Just check for soft tags which can be peeled off! I am also almost positive Bed Bath and Beyondâs have a no chase policy.Â
8. World Market. Cameras are usually over jewelry and furniture, with a few scattered throughout. It is extremely easy to find blind spots here, either by concealing behind displays or shelves, or finding aisles without cameras. I lift decorative household items, soap/lotion/candles, tasty snack items from around the world, jewelry, and alcohol from here. These stores are pretty relaxed and have blind spots everywhere! Also have a no chase policy.Â
9. The Body Shop/Lush. These stores are easy to lift from due to their lack of cameras (they literally donât have any), so you just have to watch out for employees! The Body Shop is usually a very small store so I would recommend having a partner to act as a shield to conceal behind. You donât have to worry about tags or cameras in either store, so be very cautious of the SA and other customers! Not sure about The Body Shopâs chase policy, but Lush is no chase!
10. Sallyâs Beauty Supply. Also no cameras here, but they do have mirrored ceilings and mirrors in corners of the store. I have found that the employees here give zero fucks and I have never seen them even glance at the mirrors to keep an eye on the customers. Think of them as more of a scare tactic, but still be cautious! The stores Iâve been to donât tag and are very easy to hit as long as you stay cautious of other people/ SAâs. Great place to lift fake lashes, polish, hair care, and hair tools if your bag is big enough to hold them! Best time is right when they open or before closing, as there is usually only one SA and they will be occupied and not paying close attention!
Please use caution at every one of these places and make sure to scope them out before lifting as an extra step of precaution. Stay safe, happy lifting & feel free to message me with any additional information or questions!
Can vouch for like all of these - caution is necessary but literally if youâre a seasoned lifter you shouldnât have a problem with gettin a lil somethin somethin from any of these stores.
how it feels whenever someone asks me to go to michaels/art stores
My post about my mom got a lot of attention and I feel like clarifying something, she condones me lifting cause we are poor. Not so poor we canât afford to live but poor enough that every single week it is a struggle to put food on the table and pay the bills. She letâs me lift things that we need/ other things she thinks we deserve but she has been very very upset when Iâve lifted things she considers too luxurious like mulitple eyeshadow palettes.
Sheâs a cool mom, yeah, but only cause she feels bad that she canât provide for me herself, plus Im an adult , so sheâs kinda allowed to be chill. This isnt me, a spoilt 15 y/o bringing home every single urban palette and my mom screaming and congratulating me. This is me bringing home nice perfume so my mom doesnât have to buy cheap shit at a dollar store, or nice sweets so my siblings can have friends over and be able to have treats. If I could afford this shit, I wouldnât lift.
You literally donât even need to explain yourself to anyone babe đđ you do what you need to do.
We love you and support you no matter what hun
You guys are so sweet aw đ

At work today my co-worker came up to the register with like two handfuls of hard tags and screamers and on the outside I was like âHoly shit. Fucking crooks.â Inside however I was like âHoly shit I wanna see that haul.â
By the way, I am currently employed at a R0$$ So if anyone has any questions even though itâs literally the easiest store. Just ask me.
ayy i always want extra help. whatâs the lp situation like?
Okay so Iâm going to tell you what I know so far because LP was with me for literally a WEEK and then the company got rid of ours because we had such low loss (LMAO but now we dont). Iâll talk to a coworker of mine who has worked with them for years though and update this post. Take all this with salt though because these are for stores in my region but all stores re different.
What I do know/various other facts since I work as everything but LP:
-They and all employees are not allowed to step off the curb/sidewalk next to the store. So if you grab some shit and run into the parking lot then congrats you have won. Keep in mind though that employees that feel like they need to be heroes and random customers might chase you. I say ânot afraid to be firedâ because if we are caught doing this we are automatically terminated. We arenât even allowed to carry furniture to an elderly persons car, they have to pull up to the curb.
-We arenât allowed to check your purse/reusable bag unless you allow us to (some people are so afraid of being seen as theives they actually come to us randomly and are like âI just want you guys to know I came in to use the bathroom and didnât steal anythingâ) So if you come in, conceal and leave but you beep. We just wave you off and are usually like âprobably your phone!â If you bought something though like sheets, clothing, or comforters. We will just check to see if we missed something and if thereâs nothing we just wave you off again lmao.Â
-If we see you conceal then you will have LP and SA circling you but the SA can not approach you ever. Itâs pretty much intimidation. We simply arenât allowed to. Take this with a grain of salt though because there are always outliers. A manager is allowed to approach you apparently but ours is fucking passive and wonât approach. Just sighs.Â
-Donât conceal in the fitting room unless your local store has people who just donât fucking care. At our store not only do we count every single piece (i.e a 2 piece swimsuit counts as 2 items instead of 1) we pat down the clothes to check for hidden ones, and we shake it sometimes to make hidden things fall out. Also if you donât come out with all the items, SA and LP will be notified and will follow you.
-If youâre going to swap tags, do it with similar items. Our registers read little descriptions of the items on our screens so that black top you want might read âBlack ruffle topâ but the kid tag that you swapped it with will say âGirl Pink skirtâ Same thing for shoes. We also have the price written on the bottom for situations like this.
-Even if you grab some purses and run off into the sunset, we donât call the police. This frustrates my managers to no end but we simply just stand there literally helpless.
-If you see the stock teaming putting electronics and accessories on the floor, follow them. We arenât allowed to hardtag in the stock room so we do it on the floor and if you see us and say âOh that is what Iâve been looking for! Could I see that?â and itâs not something we need to spider web, then weâll just hand it to you and you can say âThanks, I think Iâll buy this!â Rarely do we call you back to tag it, and thatâs usually just the dedicated people. You can tell whoâs stock because we have those big metal rolling racks called Hummers, and a stack of literal blue bins filled with shit. We also look miserable to be pulling that shit with us.
-Donât be rude. If youâre rude everyone will know fast and that gains more attention on you because theyâll be watching and thinking âUgh thereâs that person.â and will customer service the shit out of you. Polite people though? A happy memory but zero attention on you unless you do something sus.
-Speaking of Sus. Just be calm and relaxed. If you look nervous when a SA is around you or you keep glancing at us then that makes you sus and we are forced to follow you around.
-Donât buy luggage, purses, and backpacks and fill it with shit before check out. because we are suppose to check the insides before finishing the transaction and get in hella trouble if we donât (Even when I do my manager still goes âDid you check their bag? They were in an awful hurryâ like yeah dude. Not everyone loves standing at the front for 3 minutes just staring at their phone.)
-Unless your store makes a hella ton of money then nobody is watching those cameras. Infact our managers desk faces AWAY from the monitor. So if the manager(s) on the floor youâre golden.Â
-Pretty sure this is basically every store but if you return something without a receipt then we use your license # to track and thereâs a limit that if you hit you no longer can do no receipt returns. Anything over $50 requires a manager to confirm and if theyâre sus they can turn you away. Itâs also store credit but if you have a gift card we can put it on there too which is awesome because we waste so much paper for those returns :/
Thatâs all I can think of right now but Iâll add whatever my coworker tells me tomorrow because she has been working with the company for YEARS. Hope this helps you guys. We are such an easy picking store god damn.
Boosting inside info for my American pals. OMFG, you are a legend for sharing this! <3
Theyre owned by the same people as marshalls right??
I have no idea how late this reply is so I'm sorry but they are not. It's a common misconception that even I thought till I had started there.
Put the Bronzer and the Lipstick set on P0sh. Hopefully they get sold soon I really need to pay some creditcard bills
After so many months the bronzer finally sold for $15 but the lipstick still ain't going anywhere I guess :/
