𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐃𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑.   cursed to walk this wretched earth over and over, a never ending nightmare, forced to interact with humans as if they weren’t some of the most vile of the divine creations. recently awakened into his role as the cursed god - killer, the memories uncovered day by day only fueled zhen’s wrath, his absolute fury upon the gods for placing this punishment on him. unruly and awakened to thousands of years of torment, he’d focused on the first gateway into the afterlife he could without murdering this vessel. a shinigami. the closest one posing as a high school student no less.

glamoured and hidden to the sight of human eyes, as zhen followed after the student his draconic features started shifting upon human visage, eyes now red slits, fingers curling into claws, scatter of crimson crystal scales upon eyes and forearms, and then the twist of ivory horns from shocks of ebon hair. there was no use in hiding his true form now that he’d shown his, was there ? draconic’s own flaming blade unsheathed, placed in a defensive position to mirror the other’s, blood red eyes narrowing as he spoke, low with a barely restrained growl amidst the cadence of his voice.

“     i need to go to the soul society.     ”

      ah   ,   another  one  of  these  types.  suspicion  twinkles  within  amber  eyes   &.   as  such   ,   ichigo’s  gaze  narrows  something  akin  to  a  knife  being  pointed  at  one’s  throat.  how  does  that  saying  go  again   ?   ‘   if  looks  could  kill   ‘   ?   yeah   ,   that’s  the  one.  although  he’s  certain  his  foe  before  him  would  say  the  same  if  bestial  features  weren’t  doing  it  for  him  instead.  warrior  boy  scoffs   ,   glances  o’er  curvature  of  horns   ,   a  blade  that  flickers  more  intense  than  any  inferno  ichigo’s  ever  seen   ,   then  back  straight  before  him.  is  he   . . .  supposed  to  be  some  sort  of  an  arrancar   ?   no   ,   that’s  not  it   ;   the  spirit  energy  vibes  don’t  match.  something  different   ,   something  that  sends  jolts  of  uncertainty  crawling  along  ichigo’s  spine  until  it  threatens  to  rip  him  open  if  he  doesn’t  move  his  blade.    ❝ like  hell  you  do. ❞   he  finally  says   ,   blunt   ,   a  tinge  of  venom  ‘pon  tip  of  tongue  as  he  slings  sword  off  shoulders   &.   into  a  battle  ready  hold  adorned  with  a  flare  of  blinding  blue  surrounding  his  person.   ❝  i  don’t  care  what  you  need  to  go  there  for   ,   i  won’t  let  you. ❞

   AND THEN, THERE IS A HIGH-PITCHED SOUND, a theatric and wordless exclamation that outwardly emphasizes just how much she sympathizes with him, as far as the heavy burden of studying is concerned  (  IT MATTERS NOT WHETHER ONE IS A HERO OR A VILLAIN, it seems that school is an unfaltering foe for all  )  . Lithe figure thus leans forward, peeking over the inked pages of the aforementioned book and attempting to take a glimpse of the chapter that he is oh so desperate to properly memorize  ;  a few lines of text are caught, her reading is careful yet soon interrupted by the unwanted realization of how much she has yet to learn about this foreign world. 

    ❝  OH  !  Maybe I could help you  ?  From your deep frown, I assume that your studying is not really going well. It would be a pity, were you to fail another exam  !  ❞   A titter, wholly malicious and taunting, THE TRADEMARK OF THE PERFECT STUDENT towards someone who has never seen such high grades in his entire life  ;  she chimes, proud and mighty and obnoxious, a docile fox entirely robed in glittery gold. A hand suddenly reaches forward, takes seize of the history book and mercilessly steals it from his careless hold.   ❝  Let’s make a deal  !  If I help you study and you pass the exam, then you’ll have to take me out for dinner. It’s basically a win-win situation for you  !  ❞  

      kurosaki’s  all  but  ready  to  tune  her  out   ,   to  be  perfectly  truthful   ,   determined  to  keep  this  steely  façade  in  favour  of  catching  up  on  lost  time  no  matter  how  much  ahri  decides  to  flutter  pretty  lashes   &.   don  pleading  puppy  eyes  that  would  surely  make  even  the  most  infamous  warrior  give  in  on  spot.  who  does  she  take  him  for   ?   how  easy  does  ahri  think  kurosaki  ichigo  is   ?   by  the  looks  of  it   ,   &.   the  timbre  of  molten  honey  vocals   ,   very.  a  tick  of  brow   ,   swift  turning  of  page  as  he  holds  the  side  of  his  face  in  opposite  hand   ,   slumping  of  shoulders  before  ultimately  exhaling  the  most  dramatic  sigh  to  ever  escape  his  mouth.  looks  like  he’ll  never  be  able  to  catch  a  break  with  this  one   ,   huh   ?   even  so  . . .  he  secretly  enjoys  her  company   ,   but  don’t  tell  her  that   ;   ahri’s  ego  is  already  inflated  enough  as  it  is.  don’t  tell  her  that  either.

It was another world she had no idea she was in, there were so many things about that caused Setsuna to be abit startled.  She even had to defend herself against what appeared to be some sort of monster that was gathering around looking for souls to feast on. She had to wonder if ANYONE she knew was even in this world or was she alone? so many thoughts were prodding her mind, but they were cut short when she saw SOMETHING or SOMEONE fighting a similar creature nearby.

      ah   ,   &.  just  when  he  thought  life  had  gone  back  to  some  sort  of  normalcy.  what  a  joke  that  concept  is  to  him  now   ,   but  then  again  . . .  he  signed  up  for  this  whole   ‘  protector  ‘   thing  years  ago.  ichigo’s  been  briefed  on  strange  spiritual  pressure  detected  over  the  last  few  days   ,   instructed  to  keep  an  eye  out  for  anything  strange   &.   fight  back  if  it  became  dire  enough.  it’s  a  faint  feeling  he  quickly  picks  up  on   ,   readying  to  give  into  curiosity’s  desire  as  he  readys  to  hop  off  the  rooftop  he  claims  as  a  perch   ,   but  no  sooner  does  the  roar  of  a  hollow  bellow  through  audits  like  accursed  siren  song   &.   a  swipe  of  claws  send  him  flying  into  a  neighbouring  building  with  an  annoyed  grunt.  tch.  kurosaki  swings  his  blade  with  killing  intent   ,   a  trill  of  energy  racing  down  his  spine   &.   when  he  glances  over   (   poor  choice  really   )   he  catches  sight  of  someone  who  shouldn’t  see  him  or  this  to  begin  with.
