Moonlit Daydreams

more time than you're used to. more time than you'd expect. more time than you'd know what to do with at first because you're not used to someone being in absolutely no rush whatsoever.

i'd start with your face. just your face. hands cupping it. thumbs moving slow across your cheekbones. just looking at you. really looking. the kind of looking that most people skip because they're already thinking about what comes next. i'm not thinking about what comes next. i'm thinking about right here. right now. the way your face looks when someone is paying this much attention to it.

pressing a kiss to your forehead. your temple. the corner of your eye. your nose. your jaw. taking my time with every single one. not rushing toward your mouth. finding every part of your face with my lips first. learning the geography of you.

then your neck. pressing my mouth there. feeling your pulse under my lips. letting my mouth linger. breathing you in. the warmth of your skin there. the way you tilt your head slightly to give me more access.

hands moving to your shoulders. your arms. slow. warm. learning the shape of you through my palms. not going anywhere specific. just touching. just feeling every place my hands find. the softness of you. the way you exhale slightly every time i find somewhere new.

your collarbone. pressing kisses there. across. slow. one side then the other. feeling you breathe under my mouth.

your chest. your stomach. taking so long here. so much time. pressing kisses everywhere. finding the places that make you inhale sharply. the places you didn't know were sensitive until my mouth found them.

your hips. pressing my lips there. both sides. feeling you shiver. spending time here too. not rushing past it. not treating it like something to get through on the way to somewhere else. treating it like somewhere worth being.

your inner thighs. pressing kisses up one. down the other. feeling you tremble. hearing your breathing change into something less controlled. feeling your hands find my hair. needing to hold onto something.

and even then. even here. not rushing.

just more kisses. more warmth. more time. more of my mouth on your skin telling you without words that you are worth every single second of this. that there is nowhere else i need to be. that i could stay here for hours and feel like i was exactly where i was supposed to be.

feeling you get more and more present with every passing minute. less in your head. less performing. less managing how you seem.

feeling your body start to communicate more honestly. your hips shifting slightly. your breathing catching. your hands in my hair a little less gentle. your whole body starting to ask for something without your mouth having said a word.

and me not giving it yet. not because i'm cruel. because i'm not done. because there are still places i haven't kissed. still parts of you i haven't taken my time with yet. still things to learn.

eventually. slowly. finding where you need me. and staying there. with the same patience. the same attention. the same complete and total presence.

working you so slowly. so thoroughly. watching everything that happens on your face. every small reaction. every sound you make. every time your body tells me something true.

getting you close and not rushing you there. letting it build the way it wants to build. at whatever pace your body chooses. not mine. yours.

and when you finally get there. when your whole body gives up holding anything back.

staying right there through every single second of it.

and then after. pulling you close. pressing kisses to your face. your hair. wherever i can reach.

because the taking time doesn't stop there either.
