hi !! it’s actually the opposite—she tends to wear her hair pulled back in a bun or low braided pigtails in her post-institute settler life. the institute provided things that aren’t accessible in the wasteland like curling irons and blow dryers.

because of that, yvette tried out different styles moreso when she was in the institute. for that period of years she had a few iconic looks that coincided with big life events.
