A part of her lore. When she was being taught to fight by Galfrid, he called her shy calm moments squirrel mode, and her battle moments grizzly mode.

During ARR she hid her face with a mask until the last bit leading to HW, and whenever she went into battle and hit her grizzly mode her eyes were always seen going from the glow of crescents and stars to a full moon glow.
