✘ { Despite his hatred and instability, it was odd how Robert could be civil with so many. Sure, he'd be more than willing to kill or toss them under a bus at a moment's notice, but the similar ways of viewing life and others made for decent conversation. He was far from a loner, and a casual chat with someone at least capable of carrying on an interesting topic was always appreciated.
Having a few tolerable people was a good comparison to the useless other 90%. Plus the ones who he found it enjoyable to pick at their weaknesses.
Perfect indeed. He doesn't bother to answer it response to that, there being no point, and he simply watches as she plunks herself down to begin butchering her tea. For someone with something of an aversion to overly-sugary and sweet things, more than one teaspoon of sugar earns an eyebrow raise. How someone could tolerate that sludge was beyond him, but to each their own, he supposed. Not his problem. }
It is, isn't it? It makes me feel a bit ill sometimes, tolerating them.
✘ { Like you, the phrase drifting through his head. Really, Nonon was a bit annoying along with overconfident, but compared to some others, she was better. Being human, naturally, she'd never be something relatively close to him, and he had the idea she probably felt the same, only making minor attachments to those actually worth her time. After all, losing someone you can tolerate would be a bit of a shame in an island filled with justice-obsessed idiots along with hypocrites, crybabies, and and the just plain irritating.
But in the end, it's no big deal, as you never really cared about them anyway. That was simply how it worked with people like them. }
Sad? I'm hardly sad, I would only go as far as to say a bit disappointed.
But, I won't deny it sounds interesting. After all, there's few i'd be willing to work with on this island.
