  Hmm… Not so much plot significant, but character significant? (I wrote a damn lot more than I meant to so if you want the smaller explanation just read the first two paragraphs and the last… I’m crying I am so sorry).

  For the basic explanation, Circus (the organization Yogi is a part of) throws parades/shows in an area they recently did a raid in to ease the citizens and in a sense apologize for the damages/casualties or what have you. Yogi’s the mascot for those shows, although I don’t think it’s ever been said whether he was forced the role or if he chose it? Anyway…

  As embarrassing as it is to just read, Nyanperowna is pretty symbolic and significant to Yogi’s character. As he goes to shows, he meets people often and most of the time never sees them again, which shows his separation anxiety. Having that kind of anxiety, one would think it would be a role he hates, but he actually really loves it. It’s easy for him to make people (especially children) happy this way, which is plot significant once as he basically saved a kid from screwing up their event and therefore their reputation. 

  I think another big reason he loves being Nyanperowna is that someday he might meet someone who will stay in his life for a while, such as how he met Gareki and Nai dressed that way. 

  Aaaadditionally… lord sorry this is so messy, as it’s shown in the first page I already linked, a lot of the time Yogi doesn’t even consider Nyanperowna a mascot, but rather a being of its own, and although he’s kind of silly about it sometimes, he does it so often that he clearly prefers to think it’s not just him in a big, stupid costume. I feel that’s likely because Nyanperowna makes him and others so happy that he doesn’t “take the credit” in that it’s actually him doing the work, being that when he’s just himself he annoys people and screws up often. So he finds something special in thinking about about Nyanperowna and its ability to make people feel so happy and calm. Of course, that’s actually his ability, but like I explained, he doesn’t exactly see it that way!

  Also, I think Nyanperowna might have been his first chance at being out in the world and being around people after his country was destroyed without having to kill anybody? If that’s the case and I’m pretty sure it should be, that would just make Nyanperowna that much more important to him, especially for a guy who constantly needs to be around people to be at his happiest.

  For those reasons, that’s why Yogi wouldn’t trade being Nyanperowna for the world and why he gets so offended when people make fun of the costume or just … Nyanperowna in general. It’s very important to him and contributes a great, great deal to his happiness, although simultaneously it does have a negative effect when it comes to his anxiety. Still, how joyed he feels when he meets new people outweighs how unhappy he is when they’re gone, and that basically summarizes why Yogi will continue dressing as a huge cat for as long as he’s able.

TBH, I WILL BE THE ONE KILLING YOU

Night time. The time where the creatures of darkness thrived and enjoyed the most....and vampires were the rulers of darkness. Now if this were any other night it would not have been special, but tonight something was different. A large full moon was shining brightly in the pitch black sky. The moon shone brightly in the cloudless night, illuminating the night well enough to see rather clearly. The light was particularly bright in the park, as if it was attracted to something there...or someone. 

Flandre stood in the middle of the park, basking in the rays of the full moon. For some reason tonight she felt...powerful. She felt a strong desire to fight, as if she could take on anything and anyone. The true full moon powered her natural vampire strength and speed so that she was practically invincible. Or she would be if she had her powers. Now she was only as strong as around four extremely strong people.

As Flandre basked in the moonlight, she spotted a spot of movement out of the corner of her eye. A challenger? Someone who wants to play with her on the night of the full moon? She hoped they were strong enough to prove to be a good challenge for her, though somehow she doubted anyone could prove to be a challenge on this night.

Turning to stare directly at the unknown figure, her scarlet eyes drilled into them with clear intent to fight and play. She would really enjoy this if the person was as strong as she hoped they were. Although, she was used to all her toys breaking as soon as she got them. She never did know how to hold back.
