And even when the bad outweighs the good, they adore you so terribly.

Never feel ashamed. Never feel like a burden. Never feel like you're too much. You are strong and you, above all else, are loved.

Disability Imagine

If you have a psychiatric disability...

Imagine your f/o knowing exactly how to bring you down from an event (panic attack, PTSD flashback, psychosis, mania, etc). They know how to bring you back to reality and soothe you. All the right things to say, how to hold you, what to do.

Knowing all your triggers and expertly avoiding them in everyday life. They have no issues watching/listening to media before you do so they can scout out any potential triggers.

Always escorting you to your therapies, waiting outside with a treat for you and a big hug, knowing how hard and draining these appointments can be.

Helping you remember to take your medications on time because they know how important your psychiatric meds are.

Holding your hand on bad days, weeks, months. Guiding you through the dark times, even when it feels impossible for you to ever make it out into the light again. But you always do, in part, because of their unwavering support.

You aren't crazy, worthless, a burden, insane, a lost cause to them. You're their world and they're so lucky to go through each day with you. You're so worth the effort.

Even on your bad days.

Even when you're in so much pain all you want to do is scream and cry.

Even when you forget important things, or make mistakes.

Even when you keep them up all night with your night terrors, or wake them up to help you with your meds because you can't get it yourself.

Even when you can't get yourself out of bed and sleep for most of the day.

They love you when you talk too loud and when you can't talk at all.

They love you when you infodump about random things they don't have a clue about.

They love you when you're stimming really badly, or screaming uncontrollably, and when you're trashing around from a seizure or meltdown.

They love you, even when you hate yourself. Even when you can't see why they love you, they still do.

You don't have to be perfect for them to love you, you don't have to be good, you don't even have to be okay!

They don't love you only for your good days, they love you for you. And you is messy, you is weak, you is scared, and you is angry, and they love that about you!

You're not their burden.

You're not someone they're forced to babysit.

You're not a headache.

You're their heart.

You're who loves them the most.

You're the best thing that's ever happened to them.

You love them, even if no one else does, you love them. You see the good in them. You see them for what they are, and they aren't perfect.

The same fear that you have, that you're too much or too little for them? They have it too.

They worry they're not enough for you too.

Disability Imagine

If you are cognitively/intellectually/developtmentally disabled...

Imagine your f/o happily translating things into easier, simpler language for you and not thinking less of you for it.

Helping you with executive dysfunction by getting you up and onto whatever task needs to be done and helping you stay focused.

Getting mad for you when text is in a unaccessible font on a menu and making a complaint to the manager of the restaurant.

Writing down on their phone or a notepad all the things you may have issues remembering and reminding you of them when needed. And they never get upset when you forget something, even when it's big like an anniversary.

Not getting embarrassed when you act "inappropriately". They know your brain is different and can make you do things that others may find to be weird or off-putting. Not them though. They find you to be charming no matter what.

Being attuned to your sensory needs. Whether you're sensory seeking, sensory defensive or a bit of both, they always know how to get you regulated. Carrying around aids like sunglasses or fidgets for you. Or moving you to an appropriate setting when you start to get unsettled. No big deal!

Your f/o cares for you so deeply. It's not a bother or a hassle to accomodate you. It's an honor you trust them so much with your wellbeing. They do what they can to help you out happily and proudly.
