Cleo convo with Thorne Whitemarsh (undead hunter npc) about why she’s not a full cleric -- Thorne: yeah, it rankles - the faceless mother acolytes want everyone to be the same. Cleo: no, that would have been nice I think, I just couldn’t do it.

Thorne: … maybe I should wait out here — they find me unsettling. Cleo: who is that other dog why are we so similar

Max: you only got the one vial of white hair dye???? what are you gonna do when your roots start growing out? — Cleo, who has not thought about this and simply Will Not be using the three extra vials of black hair dye in her pack: (…buffering)

Cleo finding out that max and elodie AREN’T hooking up (despite all evidence to the contrary) in the same conversation where kol and elodie both finally clock Cleo’s crush on max, and also now Thorne ALSO is flirting with max

Cleo’s crush once again being brought up in the morning — truly the most mortifying experience for someone who simply does Not wish to be perceived

Our druid/paladin Cleo (@monsterinthemountain) recently dyed her hair white, in part to look a bit less like her cousin Sora, who is back from the dead without his soul. They were as close as siblings when they were children but now the resemblance is unsettling for both of them.

now that cleo's dyed her hair white i can say that the first time she dyed her hair black, it was when she was left home alone for the first time after leaving watcher's eye (3-ish years in at 12 years old), and it was impulsive and genuinely entirely about being an emo "no one understands me" tween

she looked in the mirror, realized how much she looked like sora, and immediately threw up -- but she'd done it and couldn't undo dying her hair such a dark color -- so she dealt with it and avoided mirrors until her parents returned. jumpscared by their daughter looking like their dead niece (daughter), they had an IMMEDIATE negative reaction, and given how their relationship had already deteriorated, cleo dug her heels in and pretended it was intentional. it wasn't really until finding the Faceless Mother that it started to become something a little comforting -- and even that was coping

dying her hair white was both a response to the weirdness of looking like sora (returned from the dead) (uninterested in interacting with cleo), an impulsive need to look Different in response to the guild hall explosion, and trying to shed a weight that she's been carrying for half her life

#it's also a little weird to lose that connection at this point #but she's fully convinced that sora wants nothing to do with her #except that levryn needed her #also she hasn't looked in the mirror and seen HERSELF since she was 12 #genuinely glad that kol had a negative reaction #she wouldn't have known what to do if someone didn't #avira campaign #cleo #coleoptera tonic
