Its just a super simple bunch of rectangles and some icons slapped on it so you don’t need to credit me :)

When you’re talking to someone way younger than you, you need to know how to do it. You need to be a good influence and you need to have the responsibility to make the younger person feel safe. Our mentality is different, we’re always evolving, a 15/16 year old’s mind will never be the same as a 20 year old’s. This is why knowing how to respect boundaries is so fucking important, and it’s one of the reasons minors don’t interact with adults far older than them that often. The mentality difference has a huge impact on how we perceive you, just like most 15/16 year olds wouldn’t interact with 10/11 year olds, they also wouldn’t interact with people who are 20 or older. It just doesn’t feel right to us and it’s an extremely uncomfortable feeling, especially when you’re a teen and your mind is always evolving. This is one of the more “psychological” reasons why minors don’t want to be near adults, but trust me, there are a lot more.

This website is a threat to minors on its own and you all just make it even worse. If someone tells you “hey you’re older than me and i’m uncomfortable” your reply shouldn’t be “but its a fandom!!!!” Your reply should be “i understand and i’ll stop interacting with you”. You as an adult have that responsibility, the person in front of you IS A KID! A kid who just wants to feel safe and it’s your responsibility as a fucking grown ass adult to just listen to them and acknowledge how they feel.

If you feel offended by a minor not wanting to talk to you because of your age, you have a fucking problem.

The world isn’t black and white, there are far more reasons to why a minor wouldn’t feel uncomfortable next to you than you think, just deal with the fact that you’re not a teen anymore and most of us don’t feel comfortable talking to adults. This will always happen and you don’t get to decide whether it’s correct or not, we do.
