Hello, Writeblr!

It's been awhile! Like promised here goes my writeblr reintroduction because I've been seeing a lot of new faces (?) and it's been too long since I've last been active. irl kicking me in the ass nothing new about that My username used to be heyabella if anyone remembered that era.

So, hi! My name is Sofia, 21+, she/her, and I've been writing since I was thirteen! I actually have a lot of WIPs but there's only one I'm focusing on right now (and it's not the one I introduced a year ago I'M SO SORRY SELF)

Just to share, harinawa in my language means King-willing and in a primarily religious country it can also be translated into God-willing and... idk I feel like it holds power in itself. *a moment of silence bc I obviously feel like I was smart for choosing this name*

HARROWMARK; a wip intro

BLURB;

SOMETIMES a family could be a girl king denied her throne too long, an ex-communicated knight fulfilling his last oath, and a warlock of the old wood with a life-debt to pay.

BREN gave his blood, sweat and tears to earn a place as one the youngest Knights of the Harrowmark. He swore his loyalty to the land and the people and he meant it with every breath. And when his King turns on his Queen, nulling the tentative alliance between the North and South, Bren honours his oath by betraying his King, instead fulfilling the last wish of Queen Sinnaia; save the newborn heir, teach her to love the Harrowmark, and when the time comes, make her king. But in order to keep this last oath, Bren will have to let go of all he thought was true and he will have to call in a favour long forgotten. A favour from a warlock, unnatural, twisted, monstrous. Magical.

IRIAL walked the Old Wood uncontested by the ancient spirits that guarded this last sanctuary against the iron tirade of the North. He had bound himself to them the moment he spoke the words of the old tradition, the moment he allowed magic to pulse in his veins, condemning him to a fate of exile from the Harrowmark; forced by the violent hand of a hateful king. Irial grew to love solitude, grew powerful in his loneliness, grew into something even the Iron King feared; a warlock. Irial would be content to let the war wage beyond the Wood's borders, let it pass him by, but fate has other plans, and Irial finds his entwined inexplicably with one of the Knights of the Harrowmark, the very order that condemned him in the first place.

ASHARNA never knew her mother, only the memory of her in the respect in Bren's eyes, the knowledge of her voice in the cadence of Irial's voice. She never knew her father, only the devastation left in his wake, the scar marring Bren's chest, the hatred in Irial's eyes. But Ash knows the Harrowmark, has wandered it's lonely borders, danced with spirits in the Old Wood, stolen fruit from Merriland orchards, ran from frost giants in the Icefields. The Harrowmark is hers in the way her hands, her legs, her heart is hers. And she is the Harrowmark's. And she will take her rightful place as King.

Internal 

There is an internal reason why they don’t get along, like different attitudes, opinions or worldviews

Different cultures or beliefs

Different ways to solve the same problem 

Goals or methods clash 

They can be on enemy sides or even collegues in the same team

As they get to know and understand each other better they come to respect the other’s ways

They either learn to accept and admire each other

Or one of them switches and changes sides to the other, taken by their ways
