The kiddos are off at their skin programs, I'm just sipping tea and soaking up some management tidbits. Had to bust out some spring today. Quite unusual weather for a NYC February. Yesterday I hosted an influencer styling event @bananarepublic WTC at the Westfield Mall. They call the entrance the #oculus it's pretty stunning. With the ☀️shining my 📷@Sherrischubert and I went back today for a mini photo session--played with the spring outfit I picked up. Most of you know I spend a good part of my life on the skiing. What I don't share a lot is that I spend even more time cheering on this girl as she races. Mr.Momtrends and I go to great lengths to support her ski racing dreams. I believe that girls who participate in sports grow up to be more confident. Growing up in Maryland, my sport was lacrosse. Being good at a sport made me feel strong and capable. I trusted and respected my body in ways that non-athletes didn't. I think sports helped me get through adolescence with a *relatively* healthy body image. This is a gift we are trying to give our girls. While they didn't pick my sports (lacrosse and soccer), they are learning the power of sport. For them, it's skiing and squash. And my job as a mom is to help foster their passions.
