Cherry skirt after almost 9 months of not sewing.

Testing out an old sewing machine I found.

France print dress for 10 month old. Button up back. Straps are buttoned in the back and can be crossed. Several people asked on FB what pattern I used. I didn’t have a pattern, I drafted the bodice by referencing a onsie that fits her. If I use a pattern I will always try to list it.

Red Ranger costume I made for a little boys birthday.

My son picked the fabric. I would have never thought he would want that print.

Some of the steps I took to make the dress. I overcomplicated the making of the skirt. I was using all kinds of equations to figure out the spacing and drawing them out and even pining mini mock ups. Finally I just cut the material while shouting "Carpe Diem!!" Well maybe not that dramatically. But I decided to eyeball it and I got lucky. Originally I was going to do cap sleeves and ties at the waist. But I forgot all about them. I would love to make this dress for myself one day. But for now my appetite for this design is satisfied and I'm craving a go at men's/boys shirts. We shall see.

Child's dress I made a few years back. I loved this dress so much. I called it antique Rose.

Trying to get organized. I somehow feel I failed. While this is better that the storage tub, I feel it could look much nicer. I have never been one for housekeeping. My mind doesn't allow it.

I found this pattern on pintrest and a YouTube video from thediydish. I gave it a go. Didn't have a mini ornament for the top so I used the biggest bead I had. I will probably replace it when I find something better.
