i loveeeee the interactions between lan and moiraine in 1x05 when lan can see stepin struggling to find his will to live after kerene's death and just tenuously barely hanging on literally about to die by suicide after about a month of surviving the pain and lan will look over at moiraine and both of them feel and know how this could just as easily have been them and the depth of the suffering it's like this detailed marriage of bone deep grief and horror and terrified relief and guilt and augghhhhhhhhh

know we all know this but just wish we could spend more time talking about how siuan sanches constant fish mentions are an intentional and defiant remembrance of her beloved fisherman father and her working class roots in the midst of a classist culture ........ like yeah they're a funny meme but theyre a POIGNANT funny meme....... she and her dad loved each other so much and they couldn't stay together anymore because she was a channeler ..... her dad who she's still so proud of and holds on to so tightly even though he's not with her anymore...................... im emo about this
