Itâs cleaning time again only instead of using just the faucet I decided to try the shower head instead. I left him like this for 20 mins while I cleaned out and scrubbed his cage.
I feel like Africa is playing in his head

Gross porn blogs:
What is it about my page that entices you? Iâm not interested! Get lost!
The bots are using tumblr to scam Google.
Letâs say someone is looking for porn and they put âwife caught her husband cheating,â into Google. There are a lot of porn sites (and some news sites) with that title. So Google has to decide which order to show them in, because most of the time, people pick something off the first few pages of Google.
Google wants to have the very best âwife caught her husband cheatingâ (or whatever else you search for) sites on the first page of the search. Google has several ways to try and decide which site are the best, but one of them is that it looks at how popular it is by seeing how many other websites link to it. If a lot of other sites are linking to it, it was probably useful to them, so Google will put it on the front page.
So if Iâm a sleazy pornsite owner, I could create like a thousand websites and make them all link to my âwife caught her husband cheatingâ site, and act like a whole bunch of different websites thought it was pretty great. Theyâd be like âxdfgt .comâ, âxdfgy .comâ, âxdfgh .com,â just nonsense addresses nobody else was using, or whatever. Iâd try to make Google think my site was awesome, because all these other websites are linking to it.
But Google has already caught on to that. Google would know âxdfgt .comâ was a crappy fake website, because nobody else is linking to âxdfgt .comâ. Any website that is only linked to by crap websites is also crap, as far as Google is concerned. Google wonât put it on the first pages of search results.
So instead letâs imagine the sleazy pornsite owner creates a thousand fake tumblrs instead, like âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ and âxdfgy.tumblr .comâ and âxdfgh.tumblr .comâ and just puts one or two posts on them to add links to the âwife caught her husband cheatingâ porn site. Google can still tell those tumblrs are crap websites, because nobody else is linking to them. But the difference is ⌠on tumblr, the sleazy pornsite owner can make your website link to him.
Letâs say your tumblr is âmostlyaestheticandfunny.tumblr .comâ. If âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ likes one of your posts, thereâs link on your blog to âxdfgt.tumblr .com.â Somewhere on âmostlyaestheticandfunny.tumblr .comâ it will say âxdfgt liked thisâ with a link from your blog to âxdfgt.tumblr .com.â
Googleâs bot looks at âmostlyaestheticandfunny.tumblr .comâ and it sees that your blog is a good website. People are linking to it (talking to you or reblogging from you), you write like an actual human being, you have nice pictures, you update sometimes, you arenât a bot. So Google decides your blog isnât a crappy scam website. Then it sees the link to âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ and it thinks âoh hey, a nice website with good stuff written by a real human linked to this âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ I guess maybe âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ is a decent website too.â
Then it looks at âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ and it sees the link to the porn site with âwife caught her husband cheatingâ, and it says, âwell, I guess that âwife caught her husband cheatingâ site is a good site. I know that because thereâs a good site linking to it here at âxdfgt.tumblr .com.â I know âxdfgt.tumblr .comâ is a good site because âmostlyaestheticandfunny.tumblr .comâ linked to it, and I know âmostlyaestheticandfunny.tumblr .comâ is a good site because it is updated and writes like a real person and people talk to it and link to it.â
So basically the porn bots are using the fact that you have a good blog to make themselves look better and to try and trick Googleâs bot into thinking theyâre very popular and it should put them at the top of its list when people search Google for porn.
Itâs really annoying! It would be really nice if the people running tumblr figured out a way to not be free advertising for every sleazy porn site on the internet
source.
hey wow thats actually really useful! and its written in a way that i (a bird with no knowledge of the wizardly internal workings of a website) can understand!

Donât talk to me unless you look at the REAL NEWS:
Petticoat (made Coromandel Coast, circa 1725).
Painted and dyed cotton chintz. As the top of the petticoat has no painted decoration it would suggest that the petticoat was worn with a jacket (as shown above)

answered a scam call today and had the most bizarre conversation
scam caller: hello, how are you today?
me: great!
scam caller: good. Iâm calling because your IP address has been compromised. Iâll just need you to get in front of your computer so we can get your account fixed up.
me: okay! there is one thing Iâm wondering, though
scam caller: what?
me: you really couldnât think of a better lie?
scam caller:
me: like, my âIP address has been compromised.â How, exactly, does an IP address become âcompromisedâ?
scam caller:
me: I was just wondering, is all
scam caller: why did you answer?
me:
me: what?
scam caller: if you knew this wasnât a legitimate call, then why did you answer?
me: oh, I just though I would have some fun at your expense.
scam caller: what expense? talking is no expense to me.
me: well, youâre currently not accomplishing your goal
scam caller: my goal?
me: your goal of scamming my elderly grandmother. Youâre not accomplishing that. Iâd call that an expense.
scam caller: well, can I scam you?
me:
me: did you- did you ask if you can scam me?
scam caller: yes. can I scam you?
me, baffled: sure, you can try
scam caller: you need to get in front of your computer
me: yeah, thatâs still a problem. Iâm eating tater tots right now and I really donât feel like getting up.
scam caller: okay. I will call you tomorrow morning, then.
me: I might not answer. My grandma definitely wonât.
scam caller: You answered today.
me: âŚtouchĂŠ?
scam caller: I will call you tomorrow. Have a good day.

âWhen you get older, you notice your sheets are dirty. Sometimes, you do something about it. And sometimes, you read the front page of the newspaper and sometimes you floss and sometimes you stop biting your nails and sometimes you meet a friend for lunch. You still crave lemonade, but the taste doesnât satisfy you as much as it used to. You still crave summer, but sometimes you mean summer, 5 years ago. You remember your umbrella, you check up on people to see if they got home, you leave places early to go home and make toast. You stand by the toaster in your underwear and a big t-shirt, wondering if you should just turn in or watch one more hour of television. You laugh at different things. You stop laughing at other things. You think about old loves almost like they are in a museum. The socks, you notice, arenât organized into pairs and you mentally make a note of it. You cover your mouth when you sneeze, reaching for the box of tissues you bought, contains aloe. When you get older, you try toner, you experiment with trousers, you experiment with real sexy outfits, you experiment with pin curls and darker hair and orange-toned red lipstick and you date people that look good on paper. You kiss them in public and feel only a little self-conscious. You never like them, although sometimes you really do. you think about safe sex and sometimes, kids. You think about plants, maybe succulents, or maybe even a cat? When you get older, you try different shampoos. You find one you like. You try sleeping early and spin class and jogging again. You try a book you almost read but couldnât finish. You wrap yourself in the blankets of: familiar t-shirts, caffe au lait, dim tv light, texts with old friends or new people you really want to like and love you. You lose contact with friends from college, and only sometimes you think about it. When you do, it feels bad and almost bitter. You lose people, and when other people bring them up, you almost pretend like you know what they are doing. You try to stop touching your face and become invested in things like expensive salads and trying parsnips and saving up for a vacation you really want. You keep a spare pen in a drawer. You look at old pictures of yourself and they feel foreign and misleading. You forget things like: purchasing stamps, buying more butter, putting lotion on your elbows, calling your mother back. You learn things like balance: checkbooks, social life, work life, time to work out and time to enjoy yourself. When you get older, you find things like rejection hurt less and things like nostalgia hurt more. You watch people do things you want to do, and then you do some of those things too. Things start to feel like pins on a map. You watch landmarks pass and almost note them. You eat a taco from a food truck and be careful to dab the corners of your mouth with a napkin. You smooth your shirt down. You think about details, the details of how clean the beer cup is, how you need to put the dishes away, how she smells like a perfume you wore and how his teeth are perfect and aligned. You feel a little less downtrodden by things like routine and security and a little more appreciative of things like doing nothing, finding a friend, stretching on a big couch. You hear old songs and only sometimes do they gut you. You think about your future almost always, in both a thrilling way and a very very panicked way. When you get older, you find yourself more in control. You find your convictions appealing, you find you like your body more, you learn to take things in stride. You begin to crave respect and comfort and adventure, all at the same time. You lay in your bed, fearing death, just like you did.You pull lint off your shirt. You smile less and feel content more. You think about changing and then often, you do. When you get older, you barely notice it at all. Then, you are sitting somewhere youâve been before, staring at the nothingness of the sky, and you feel the wind moving away from you, fast and almost impossible to catch.â

I got maybe 25% of the way into it. Didnât recognize any of it. Decided I wasnât old enough.
Oh fuck. I am old enough.
old enough that READING THIS FELT LIKE NOSTALGIA. âŚ.yupâŚ,am an old. and content :)
yeah theres no way to stop using amazon completely because they own so many things and many websites use them for hosting, but audible is something we really dont need. amazon is already trying to replace public libraries with âaudible amazon librariesâ and we cant let that happen. your libraries are already payed for with taxes ((though normally way underfunded because politicians normally dont care enough))Â
use libby or overdrive for audiobooks or ebooks, support libraries and buy from their used books sale (ive scored so many awesome books, and old books! as well as some great cds and movies) , and many libraries also mail out books!! theres so many options and libraries are always changing to make themselves more accessible for everyone, so support them! theyre such an important part of your community.
also you can just ask for your library to order a book if they dont have it, or they can borrow it from neighboring libraries in your county or even other counties depending on the place! libraries are the best and when i was homeless they were one of the best resources i could have asked for with free ac, wifi, good bathrooms, and books books books ad well as so many other resources, groups, clubs, events ⌠please support your local library!Â
HEY! YES! This is important! You can check out books from your local library (along with audiobooks and movies and music too!!) without ever having to leave your home. Hereâs some links if you donât know what OP was talking about: OverDrive, Hoopla
BUT ALSO!! Right now libraries are facing a problem with a new policy from very large publisher called Macmillan thatâs due to be enacted in November.Â
As Jessamyn West explains in her article on CNN:
For the first two months after a Macmillan book is published, a library can only buy one copy, at a discount. After eight weeks, they can purchase âexpiringâ e-book copies which need to be re-purchased after two years or 52 lends. As publishers struggle with the continuing shake-up of their business models, and work to find practical approaches to managing digital content in a marketplace overwhelmingly dominated by Amazon, libraries are being portrayed as a problem, not a solution. Libraries agree thereâs a problem â but we know itâs not us.
52 lends is nothing when it comes to popular books. In essence, this new policy would require libraries to re-purchase the same eBooks over and over just to continue to provide access to their readers.Â
Libraries already have to go through a lot of hoops and extra expense to provide digital content, and this policy will just make it even harder, more time consuming, and more expensive, thus making it more difficult for libraries to provide eBooks at a time when demand for eBook access at libraries is growing exponentially. Both the ALA and the PLA have come out strongly against thus policy, and it sets a TERRIBLE precedence for other publishing houses and future policies. Itâs a bad idea thatâs expensive and ultimately punishes the people who need libraries the most.
But YOU can do something about it, right now! Help us tell Macmillan publishing that their new policy is terrible and will adversely affect the people who need digital library access the most!Â
Check out the ALAâs action page for some great graphics and an auto-tweet form that will let you voice your displeasure to Macmillan directly.Â
Or you can just copy and paste it into Twitter from here, and add the graphic too if you want:Â
Limiting access to new titles for libraries means limiting access for readers who are most dependent on libraries. @MacmillanUSAâs new policy is unacceptable, John Sargent. Cancel the embargo. #eBooksForAll
Please help us keep library eBooks accessible for all! Not only will you help your libraries, but as OP explained, the more you use your libraries and other legal means of acquiring digital books and content, the more you take away from Amazonâs unconscionable domination of the eBook and digital content market. Itâs a win-win.Â
