Everyone in Seishun Gakuen performing “Seishun, Aitakute” at Akihabara TWINBOX GARAGE on March 12th! We weren’t there, but we don’t know the choreography well enough anyways for this song yet... (´・ω・`)
March 11th:
We had two lives on Saturday! It was our second day of performances since joining the group.
Although Seishun Gakuen had lives on both Saturday and Sunday, we couldn’t make the ones on Sunday because of other plans. (´・ω・`)
Our first live of the day was at Akihabara TWINBOX, and we needed to be at the venue for 11:35am, so it was a (pleasantly) late start to the day after a late night of group practice and then extra prep on our part the night before. We had a 15min set with no rehearsal because of the nature of the live (group after group) makes it a bit difficult.
Setlist:
Oshimase!
Twintail ~I LOVE YOU wo Arigatou~
Seishun, Aitakute
Kaihou
We still don’t have lots of the choreography down, so we were only on stage for the MC and last song, Kaihou, but it was lots of fun! We weren’t able to get the crowd into the performance too much though, so everyone was upset at themselves and frustrated once we got back to the greenroom. (´・ω・`) We couldn’t see since we were off stage for most of the time, but it seemed great as usual, so we wonder what went wrong...
Sally lost one earring during the live, too! Probably flew off her ear during Kaihou...
Buppan (goods selling time) was fun too! We had our American friend come take cheki with us and buy all the CDs that were on sale then for us since we still didn’t have any of them... (´;ω;`)♡ Much much thanks!! We also had a Polish friend of his come and see us for the first time!! All the girls were interested in his nose... w We also had one Japanese fan reserve a ticket (yoyaku) for the live under our name, and he came to take cheki with Ally! We could see him well from the stage when we went on~
During buppan, Sally has been trying really hard to memorize everyone’s names since we also have a free handshake time and goodbye high-five time as well! She’s memorized faces, but not names yet... (´;ω;`) It’s tough.
Shortly after that, we all took the train while still half in our stage outfits for the next live since the greenroom is very small and there was going to be a bunch of other groups there as well.
We had a few hours to kill so we all went to Italian restaurant Saizeriya and killed some time! We reviewed our thoughts on the last live and buppan, and we scolded a bit by the leader and (semi) leader for a few things like time management and cheki-taking. It’s always well-noted, but everyone was quite sleepy and ended up napping a bit too...
The next live was at Shibuya AUBE, and was a special birthday performance for a member of idol group Zenryoku Shoujo R! Chubbiness was also there and they were quite polite to us backstage~ ♡ We got there around 18:00, just shortly after doors had opened. We all tried squeezing backstage, but couldn’t find all of us with our stuff so most of us left it out in the audience area under supervision of staff... (;´∀`) Everyone tried to fix themselves up after the last live, but with the lack of space just to stand, it was a bit of an issue...
Our set was 30mins, so quite longer than the usual! Everyone was quite nervous about it.
Setlist:
Oshimase!
Tasukirire
Tegami.
MPN
ODOD
Kimi ga Kureta Omoi
Chikara no Kagiri
Kaihou
It was our first time doing Tasukirire and Kimi ga Kureta Omoi, so we were super nervous that we were going to trip someone on our dresses or go the wrong way! We both also had mics so we were nervous about messing up the lyrics... Although we messed up a few times, it went quite well considering everything! We still are no good at dancing, but hopefully we should get better with time and practice.
During Tegami., (semi) leader Yuu’s dress strap completely broke so she had to run backstage quickly despite being one of the center members for the song! She quickly fixed it with hairpins since there were no safety pins around and she jumped back on stage shortly after...! Luckily it help for the rest of the set!! We thought it was so cool of her~ ☆ We didn’t hear anything about it after that so maybe no one noticed too much?
After our set was up and everyone went back to the greenroom, everything changed though and we were really surprised. One member started to have a panic attack or something and we were really worried she was going to collapse... Maybe she has a sickness she’s hiding from the other members? Another member started crying but blamed it on being hot... We were really concerned by everyone’s sudden change of emotions. We’re sure the 30 min set was grueling physically, but it made us very concerned for our fellow members. No one said anything about it at all, but we’re still very unsure what it was about... (;´Д`)
Sally also lost her other earring, but it was found on stage by one of the Zenryoku Shoujo R members!
After that we had buppan! Everyone tried really hard to push our group and we had a steady amount of people the whole time. Didn’t have many cheki ourselves but it’s not too surprising... (´・ω・`)
After that we quickly changed and gathered our things and head off in different ways!!
It was a difficult day, but very fun and rewarding.
And this happens twice a week at least!! It definitely takes a lot of time and effort...
Our next performance is on the 18th, but the group has lives on the 18th, 19th, and 20th. We still need to focus on learning more on our own, so we’re not sure if we can do the other days, but we need to work hard this week!
Bye bye for now!
Scheduling Woes
Currently, the group’s schedule is as so...
Monday: FREE
Tuesday: FREE
Wednesday: Teacher-Guided Dance Lesson (2hrs), Self-Guided Dance Practice (1hr)
Thursday: FREE
Friday: Self-Guided Dance Practice (3hrs)
Saturday: Performance x2 (All-day)
Sunday: Performance x2 (All-day)
We just wish that the practice studio wasn’t over an hour away from our apartment... (;´∀`)
On free days, members are expected to do self-practice, SHOWROOM, organize setlists, figure out outfits, plan reservation bonuses for fans, and much more... One of the unique points of Seishun Gakuen is that it is very much run and self-produced by the members! Thank the heavens for the help of our more experienced members!! (´;ω;`)♡
It’s definitely nice having a bit more freedom, but it’s also confusing trying to figure out outfits. Currently Ally and I trying to scramble something nice together to go with the other member’s outfits for the weekend performances...! Wish us luck!
Our first photo as members of the group!
Taken at Ueno Oto Yokocho (in the tiny stretch of a greenroom!) on March 5th.
We performed a total of 7 songs, 5 songs being us a duet!
Out setlist was:
Ally&Sally
“Sha la la la LA!!” (Seishun Gakuen)
“Motto, Yume, Miyou!!” (Momoi Haruko) (Cover)
Seishun Joshi Gakuen (with Ally&Sally)
“Chikara no Kagiri!!” (Seishun Gakuen)
“Kaihou ~Oh Yeah Oh~” (Seishun Gakuen)
How things actually went for us is a different story... We had fun but it was a very frustrating experience for us that we learned a lot from.

Joining an IDOL GROUP
Hi everyone! ♥ It’s been a while!!
This is what we posted earlier in February on our Facebook, so we figured we’d post it here as well.
February 25th, 2017:
We announced a few days ago on our SHOWROOM and earlier today on our Ameblo, but since it's all in Japanese we figured some English would be a good idea too!
We've actually joined rock idol group "Seishun Gakuen" and will be having our debut performance on March 5th at Ueno Oto Yokocho!!! We'll be trainee cadets members (kenshuusei kohousei) and are also limited time members, as we'll be heading back to Canada in September once our study abroad program ends. We'll also be continuing our activities in our duo of Ally&Sally as well while we're in the group~
We actually first saw Seishun Gakuen back in 2013, and we remember being really struck with how fun and engaging the group was. We really hope to be able to keep that spirit up and work hard within the group to bring more attention, especially overseas!
The group is a bit different compared to other idol groups, in that producer, SHUN, also performs on stage with the girls at times! Members range from elementary school to university age as well. The group is also used as a training group to grow members individually towards their various goals in life, be it acting, modelling, or singing on a major scale.
Seishun Gakuen also majored debuted in 2014 with Stand Up! Records with their single "Twintail ~I LOVE YOU wo Arigatou~" and currently have around 60~100 songs in their repertoire! We've got a lot of catching up and learning to do!
Here are some other videos that might give you a feel of what Seishun Gakuen is sort of like as a group~
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5i0ySaUiL4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsmzqTqfnk0
While the dancing and singing in Seishun Gakuen is a bit more intense than we're used to, it's a great challenge that we're more than happy to undertake, so we're really looking forward to how much we grow during our time. If you're interested and have the time, please come see our debut live on the 5th! If you check out our Ameblo or the group event page, there are more details in Japanese (let us know if you want ENG too)!
We'll continue to do our best and work super hard during our limited time as members of Seishun Gakuen! Please continue to support us~
Thank you so much!! (ヽ´ω`)♪
【Tumblr Update】
Just letting everyone that still magically follows our very inactive (until now!) tumblr know that from here on out we’ll be using this space as a sort of blog to write about our experiences in the idol group we recently just joined here in Tokyo, Seishun Gakuen. Before we reblogged mainly other illustrations or photos with very little self-content, but I think slowly we’ll go through our tumblr and somewhat purge it of that content to keep this area as a little memory box for our activities in the group. If you’re no longer interested, please feel free to unfollow!
Thanks~ (ヽ´ω`)♪
Hi everyone!
We need your help! Out of hundreds of entries, we were chosen to be one of ten finalists in a contest to become the 9th Annual Nekomimi Ambassador!!
Last year, the Ambassador was none other than the amazing Ladybeard, and we’d love if we could be chosen to continue in his footsteps! If we win, not only will we receive prize money (which will offset the costs of the CD we’re self-producing and releasing in April), but also will be chosen for the various jobs that come with the position!
In order to win, we need everyone’s help though! Votes are used to choose the ambassador, and it’s a strict one vote per person policy…
However! By voting, you also enter yourself to win various amazing prizes like a Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Classic Famicon Mini, Qrio Smart Tags, or various moe otaku goods! Votes from those outside of Japan are accepted, so of course foreign applicants are also able to win!
Currently we’re in 3rd place and are about 100 votes away from 1st place! There are lots of very famous cosplayers also in the finals, so we’re trying very very hard to win!!
575.moe
We made some small pictures that explain in English how to vote!
Since it’s also a contest for best Otaku poem and 2D mascot, your vote is also needed for those in order to vote for us.
First, vote for your favorite poem! They’re all in Japanese of course and aren’t too funny or easy to translate into English, so vote for whichever you want!
Then you vote for the 2D mascot character! Pick your favorite~
Then…
Time to vote for us! Look for our photo (the only one with two people in it) and click on the little button~
Then you need to enter some personal information so you can receive a prize in the event you win! First, you choose which prize you want (Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Classic Mini Famicon, Qrio Smart Tag). At the end, the special word is “.moe” for the bonus prize!
Then finally you press the big red button to vote! After that you are redirected to a page to confirm your vote, so just confirm the info and submit once more.
And then it’s done!!
We really want to win this one as we’ve been in so many amazing contests so far, but always seem to fall slightly short… The voting period is until March 15th, so if you could share it with your friends too we would be so thankful!!

Thank you so much for reading!!
