Eons ago, heaven’s most beloved angel managed to glimpse what was not meant to be seen. The fates, the destinies, and the ends of every angel were written in gold by none other than their Father and protector, God. The beloved angel grew angry and spoke against this injustice, causing a mighty uproar in the holy realm. The war in Heaven was an event many wished to forget.
Thunder cried as lightning brightened the bloody battlefields, showing two figures standing. God’s most beloved angel, Lucifer, and heaven’s highest-ranked archangel, Michael, stood face to face in the rain.
“Are you proud?” Michael's voice thundered across the battlefield: “You tainted your brothers and sisters with sin!”
Lucifer only smiled at the faint crack in Michael’s voice. “Do you want to know when your life is going to end?”
“What?” Michael's eyes shook; his eyes stared at his brother, “Enough of your lies! ANSWER-”
“TWO BROTHERS!” Lucifer interrupted, “Two brothers with powers blessed by the heavens, with souls of Purgatory, will cut off your wings!” He laughed. Lucifer looked up as the golden blood washed off his face. “And a girl…” he grimaced, “… of the same kind will be my end.”
A loud boom was heard from above, causing the brothers to look down, as the heavens’ ground split apart. A dark figure shadowed the field as it raised one hand. Lucifer laughed maniacally as he and his followers fell into their new home. A home filled with burning blue fire, rotten corpses, and a darkness they will never escape. Michael only saw his little brother fall to his death.
Thunder roared as the victory of heaven was finally within the grasp of God and his children. A new age of peace washed over heaven, marking the era as “Heaven’s age of Delight.” With this peace came life and joy. In a realm born between heaven and hell, life sprouted from the blood of the angels and the excessive power that heaven released. All’s well that ends well…but Unbeknownst to Michael, Lucifer wasn't the only one who saw the hypocrisy of heaven. The roots of doubt were successfully planted, leading to the end of heaven’s era of peace.

A loud BANG could be heard coming from the kitchen, causing the girl to jolt up in fear. Sweat ran down her face as she gasped for air. “A dream…” she frowned, “WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER IT!” she shouted as she fell back down to her pillow. She wondered as she stared at the ceiling of the dream she had countless times. She felt alone whenever she had that dream. A sense of longing that a 15-year-old girl shouldn't really be worrying about. She closed her eyes. “Overthinking is only gonna make it worse,” she whined.
“Chalice!” a woman shouted from another room. “Breakfast is ready!”
Chalice quickly jumped up, seemingly forgetting why she was so upset. “Coming, Auntie!” she joyfully responds.
(Anyways, this is going to be a chalice-centric fanfic that I'm probably gonna name "The Road to the Holy Grail")
