I have a bad habit of not giving my characters actually plausible names, but have been working on it and wanted to try with this group. I was having trouble finding a real life male name that fit the aesthetic of this character though. Also watched a couple vids on alchemy to inspire these oc’s theme a bit #priorities. One video was talking abt concepts similar to aether (this oc’s element) and mentioned something called the iliaster. A couple days later I scroll by some post about heated rivalry and catch a glimpse of one of the main characters’ names and am like wait. Ilya? And it fits his vibe so perfectly I have to rotate it in my mind a couple times. And that’s how my goofy little dress up game oc was accidentally named by the heated rivalry fandom.
