What if Jason unintentionally picked up some of Bruce’s habits, and then also some of Talia’s? Then Damian, who followed Jason everywhere when he was a toddler, started copying Jason’s habits too.

So when Damian eventually goes to live with Bruce, everyone is like, “Huh, Damian really is Bruce’s son. He even has some of Bruce’s habits.”

But aside from Bruce’s habits that Damian copied from Jason, there are also Jason’s own habits that Damian picked up from him. Maybe it’s how Damian got into reading the same books Jason used to read, or the way he says certain things, or just little mannerisms. And immediately Bruce, or Dick, or even Alfred are reminded of Jason, because it’s just so similar.

It hurts so much that one day Dick can’t control himself and ends up crying because Damian reminds him so much of Jason. When Damian notices, he asks about it.

Then, Damian feels a bit sorry because he misses his brother too (Jason who is busy doing things so he can't meet with Damian but they do talk just not face to face) and tells Dick that most of his habits actually come from copying his brother.
