My words have worth. My view has value. My mind is irreplaceable, and my opinions arenât the rattlings of a mad man. Theyâre accurate representations of my experience. Iâm not crazy, I never was. I just let everyone else invalidate me for so long that I seriously believed that I was a lost cause. But I wasnât. Iâm not. Itâs time to start seeking validation from myself and only me. To do the things that I want to do, the things that I believe in, the things that make me happy. Saying what I want, dressing how I want, doing what I want. Working towards the things that I believe in without the outside influence of what my parents think I should be doing, or where societal norms dictate that I should be at this point in my life.
Itâs long past time that I start believing my own eyes. Itâs way overdue. I have something to say. I have SO MUCH to say. I am intelligent, and Iâm highly educated. I was blessed with those privileges. I had such a great fucking head start and I guess I never realized how lucky I was.
My life path has strayed from convention. And for a while I thought that it was leading me to hell. But I was wrong. I was so wrong. I genuinely believe that I am better off because of the experiences that I have had in the past couple of years. I believe that everything that I have gone through has only made me stronger. I know that I am going to turn this around. I am fully convinced that one day I am going to find my own definition of success.
I spent the first 20 years of my life believing that I was worthless.
I spent so much fucking time being a victim of my circumstances.Â
That toxic mentality has caused me to throw away countless opportunities.Â
