Just someone emotionally invested in the Flyers

Vladar getting injured in round one helped the pens win those two games and for whatever reason Tocchet didn't want to play Errson, Woll has a higher sv% and wont have to play as many games for the flyers as he does for the leafs because vladar is less injury prone than Stolarz. Having Woll play one in every 4 or 5 games still gives Vladar more rest than he got last year and means Woll has less chances for injury.

In terms of defensemen Benoit is a very physical defenseman in a way some of the younger d core on the flyers aren't right now and we saw how effective physically was for the flyers in the pens series so they're investing in that.

For the leafs I'm sure the thought process is they can call up Hildeby or Akhtyamov if/when Stolarz gets injured. Errson has a muchhhhh lower cap hit than Woll and between Stolarz and Woll, two goalies with good stats but prone to injury, Woll had a marginally better save percentage and is younger thus was probably easier to sell. The idea is probably to make some cap space to bring in some new players.
