.。゜○ Translating

My coursework has certainly kept me busy... but I did get something out of it, at least, as I get to do a study program in Japan Jan/Feb next year!

I intend to make the most of it, and enjoy all the T&B I can with my limited budget :)

I've just finished clearing out my inbox, so if you sent me something and I haven't responded, it seems to have gotten lost in the system, so please do send again if you would like.

I was watching the ABC News 24 live stream tonight, of course, and this happened.

You can't really see the time, but it was about 7:14 ie. at least 30 minutes before the result of the ballot was known.

THE HOST WAS LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE SAYING "This is too important to rely on gossip, so we will wait to make any announcements." WHILE THIS WAS IN THE BACKGROUND.

For those of you who haven't seen it around, last month the Japanese T&B fandom became aware of a certain smartphone app -- it's a fishing game, the just happens to involve some rather suspiciously familiar-looking characters. 

The cat is the main character, and he must catch the fish to give to the other characters.

One of these characters is Mister Shells, the one with the beard, who is trying to catch fish to feed his ill daughter. Unfortunately, he can only ever manage to catch shells... ;~;

Another is the Lemon Prince, the curly-haired blonde. He is found washed up on the shore, and is suffering from memory loss, and isn't sure of who he is.

The T&B mobage closed this afternoon, very sadly.

But, to soften the blow somewhat, I did grab all 383 card images, and some accompanying audio.

Organised by category (Wild, Cool and Brave), and for dual type cards, they should be found in both categories.

Note regarding file names -- I tried to use names that I thought would make them identifiable while keeping them short, however I realise just because it made sense to me at the time, doesn't mean it does to everyone else ^^'' If you can't figure out which cards some of the labels refer to, ask and I'll let you know. 

Unfortunately, I don't have all the audio, as to access the lines from the Card Gallery/My Page require you to have those cards in your possession :( If anyone could help fill in the gaps of what I was unable to get, it would be very much appreciated!

I also didn't grab all the miscellaneous lines from other characters, as I ran out of time. It's mostly T&B with some of the others in there too.

Card Gallery audio -- these are the dialogues/monologues, that accompany the card information in the Card Gallery for the 5 and 6 star cards.

Battle audio -- Each 5 and 6 star card has two voiced lines when it is the 'leader' card of either you or your opponent.

Training audio -- Character based, when training cards there is a line for the one you are training and the one of the ones you are partnering it with. (Incidentally, that one line outside the folders is by web address a training line, but it's never one I got myself, it's just been linked a few times on 2ch so I included it.)

My Page audio -- When viewing the summary page, along with your leader card, 3 random cards from the ones in your possession will be there, and one of those 4 will have a lines. The 6, 5 and some 3 star ones are voiced.

Translations

I made a post a while back, to gather the translations of the card information and dialogues I had tweeted. I have since done a lot more, and as last time's tumblr text post wasn't the best way to clearly present this information, I think I'll do it a bit differently this time.

My idea is I will create a sideblog for this, so I can organise the translations in a clear manner by relevant card, while not spamming everyone here. Also, I can eventually use it post things for other mobile games.

In Australia, two airline companies recently took part in a merger deal, Virgin Airways and Tiger Airlines. (Virgin Airways bought a 60% controlling stake in Tiger Airlines)

As they are often referred to by the first word of their company names in the press, the thought occurred to me there were probably some pretty hilarious headlines to be found.

Here is what I and some friends on twitter managed to dig up.

Not really — I post my scanlations here,  and I usually cross-post to AarinFantasy forums though I have been a bit lazy about that lately. All doujinshi are under my tag, and I do have a masterlist (which needs updating) here.

And I work by myself for the most part, though I will sometimes use scans from other people/groups, and a couple of the more recent doujinshi I have translated have been cleaned and typeset by my friend, Bon-Bonny.
