Intro Post!!
Don't know why I didn't make this blog sooner. From now on, any updates about my new original generation of My Little Pony will be posted here. Follow for updates on your new favorite show 😉 (🤣)
About:
My Little Pony: Distant Friends is about six ponies from different parts of Equestria learning and working through the difficulties of living far away from your friends. Third (and last if we don't count the gen 5 crew. Are they supposed to represent the elements?) generation of elements. Years after Twilight's friends (Twi is still alive cuz alicorn aging) and the young six have passed. Equestria has been in an era of peace with no new element bearers chosen. Suddenly, a new tree of harmony emerges and calls out to six ponies from all across Equestria for help from a place called Bridlewood Forest.
This generation is meant as a bridge between generation 4 and generation 5 which is why I want to call it generation 4.5 (or New!gen 4.5 since 4.5 already exists). The theme comes from the last lesson of gen 4, where even if Twilight and her friends now live far away from each other, their friendship is as strong as ever and they still make time for each other.
My Plan:
Here are a few things I want to happen in this series:
• Each episode follows a different pony/group of ponies (from the main cast, of course)
• Introduce elements from gen 5 in a logical way that doesn't come across as forced. Gen 5 is completely different from gen 4, but I have a few ideas on how some things come to be
• At least 3 seasons (I've already got ideas for season 2)
• End with disharmony taking over and the pony nations splitting up (leading to how gen 5 starts)
