A CHEAP TACTIC. ⁽ᵃᵖ⁾

The grey gem was quite the little explorer.  Ever since she had fleed from the war thousands of years ago, Black Star learned the Warp Pad system, almost a T!  So it was only because of that she wound up arriving on the island.  But seeing the fusion rise out of the water was ratherintimidating.  Sure she had seen a couple fusions, but never were they this big!

“Um.. m-maybe?  I mean.. those chains are really big so I dunno if I can.. do much” Black Star swallowed a lump in her throat.  “I mean I’m a healing gem but still..”

              eyes widened as she heard that the other was a healing gem, but then turned into a hard glare at the ‘but still’. malachite didn’t want to hear anything from the other if she was of no use to her. the fusion turned her back to the other, letting out a small “hmph.”

“Okay okay just.. t-take it easy.”  Stuttered the grey gem from her spot on the lonely, isolated beach.  Had this been going on a few months ago, Black Star would’ve been running and crying just from so much as looking at Malachite.  But some, unknown mental instruction was telling her to stay.  Even though the other was clearly enraged.

The furious roar caused her to tremble like a leaf.  But she was a bit perplexed by the unfolded fist offered to her.  What was Malachite trying to do?  Get her to shake her hand?  Well, that’s what Black Star thought she was trying to convey.  So her tiny, chubby hand clasped around one of the dark green fingers and gently shook it.

            malachite didn’t look too impressed with the other as she shook one of the fusion’s fingers. she tried not to let her frustration show too much, considering the furious shaking and fear in the other gem’s eyes. a deep frown tugged at the sea-green gem’s lips. malachite didn’t have time for this gem’s trickery. she needed to be free, and fast.

“BEH–   D-Don’t DO THAT!”

           malachite glanced at the other gem with suspicion. she wasn’t exactly sure how the gray gem had gotten to where malachite had been trapped for so long, but she wasn’t about to deny her existence. the fusion arose from the waters, revealing her full large six-armed self with a grin. she spoke.

            “i need to escape.”

“I uh.. I don’t know.”  Black Star could only stare at the imprisoned fusion.  Even though the chains were merely made of water, Black Star imagined they were probably painful.  Bound on each of her limbs, the monochrome gem actually knew what it felt lik.  But that was a secret she wasn’t ready to share with anyone, much less a gem she just met.

“Do you.. um..” the grey gem gulped, slowly reaching a hand out to the fusion.  “W-Want..help?”  Even despite the other’s anger, Black Star’s healing gem instincts always kicked in when someone looked like they were in physical distress.

             “want help?! do i want help?! of course i want help, you pathetic gem!” there was anger in the fusions voice. she was becoming impatient, and was not one for waiting on others. the other gem seemed fearful, and malachite growled. the chains tightened, and the fusion let out a howl. she was ready to be released from this prison, and didn’t have any more time to lose.

“OoooooKAY….   No? No. WHAT ARE YOU.      Why?”

            “why does it feel so good but hurt so bad?!” malachite let out a grumble, trying to undo her chains, but the ocean gem wouldn’t let loose. the fusion groaned, fists clenched. she wanted to scream, but nothing came out when she parted her lips. 

“If we're going to be this thing together, why don't we have some fun?”
