“Congratulations on successful reproduction.” Gary said with its hand clapping together repeatedly to congratulate the world’s finest.

Bruce’s eyes widened in shock.

Or, Bruce accidentally gets hurt from a kryptonite that should have no effect on humans. Clark rushes him to the Fortress, where a medical scan unexpectedly reveals the truth of an unexpected patient that caused the sudden kryptonite effect.

His hair was soaked, his shoulders relaxed, and his tail moved freely beneath the water.

For once, Bruce actually looked comfortable and free.

“Sorry for making you wait,” Bruce apologized, putting his hair behind his ear. Clark’s face beamed when he saw Bruce, the merman then began swimming towards Clark. Clark crouched instictively,

“It’s fine, told you I’d wait,” Clark laughed quietly, smiling with his eyes. They both shared eye contact before Bruce suddenly took his hand, interwining their fingers together. Clark looked surprised, but without hesitation, he took it gladly.

“Come with me, to Gotham.” Bruce smile softened, lightly tugging at Clark’s hand.

“Wait— you can talk?!” Clark shouted, eyes blown, but too bad, the mer..boy had already left. Wait no— comeback! Clark wanted to say, but all he got was the seawater smacked directly into his face.

“You’re welcome, by the way!” He shouted, scoffing afterwards.
