Up a Tree [ Wally & Winona ]

Arching a brow, Winona watched the boy for a moment, somewhat amused. His reaction was rather funny and he was rather cute, in a childlike way. “It is fine, no need to apologize, you did not know I was sleeping there,” She chuckled, patting the bird’s fluffy side. “Are you implying I am a wild pokemon, Wally?” She could probably come to like this kid, he had a sense of humour, something she could appreciate. Well, when it wasn’t Steven or Wallace. There were some people she just could accidentally use Waterpulse on, which most of the time were them. “Wally? It is not short for anything, is it? It is quite a nice name.” His name had her wondering, thoughts already going towards a certain man in her life that could just turn everything for her.  Somehow it really made her wonder why she never did give him a chance… But that was besides the point. Perhaps Wally’s name was short for that guy’s name. Altaria made a noise in apology, looking at Wally in worry. “Ah, do not worry. Altaria often takes passengers on her back, you’re safe with her, really.” Winona made a soft clicking noise with her tongue, to which Altaria instantly flapper her wings, lifting both of them up with ease. It surprised her a little, she would’ve thought a child Wally’s age would be atleast a little heavier than it looked like he was. Altaria seemed to have no trouble at all, which confused Winona for a moment, but she let it slip, deciding to descend next to the Swablu sleeping on the branch up high.

  It had been quite a while since Winona had taken a break. Normally, she’d reject the offer of one when it was given to her, however due to overworking, it had come to some very important heads’ attention that she really did need a break. So with that the gym leader had kindly been forced to take one, much to her own annoyance. However, now that she actually had gone out and wasn’t training or battling, it seemed to really do her well. She had been tired and it had been showing, too. Perhaps that day off really had been necessary. Letting out a yawn, the lavender haired woman turned slightly on the branch she’d been perched on with her Altaria, the bird’s wings wrapped securely around her body. It wasn’t particularly cold, but the fluffy, cotton-like wings of her friend were like a security blanket around her. “I only l-let you out for a second and you go and f-fall asleep?” Huh? Slowly opening her eyes, Winona blinked for a moment, trying to register whoever was calling someone, maybe it was just her imagination. “Hey! Swablu! Hey!” Frowning in confusion, the woman turned her head to look at her Altaria in wonder, however the avian seemed more concerned about keeping her master safe. So, of course she lurked down, leaning over the branch she was perched on, only to spot a Swablu a little lower, and a rather young boy at the base of the tree. It seemed that the lad wasn’t able to recall his pokemon and was ready to climb the tree to get to it. She would’ve probably been very much so amused by the child, if it weren’t for the fact that climbing up that high would be dangerous for someone that had nearly no experience in tree climbing. It also didn’t help that the child looked so small and fragile, something that made Winona worry about him. Shifting, she carefully pried Altaria’s wings off her, to which the latter cooed, rubbing her head against the side of her head. She smiled at the creature, returning the gesture by petting her neck lovingly. In mere seconds, the flying-type specialist had eased her way down the branch she’d been on, only a couple of branches away from the Swablu. “Hello, is that Swablu yours?” She called down, hoping to catch the boy’s attention, which she probably would, but still, it’d be best to call out to him, than suddenly giving him a heart attack by suddenly standing next to him while he was climbing the tree. “I am assuming you are having trouble getting to it?”
