I HATE people treating IDW like its in the same continuity of the g1 cartoons.

This happens to me so much when I talk about how I love Sixshot and Star Saber and someone will start questioning about why I'd like [insert character trait only found IDW]

I was legit stuck for a solid 2 hours trying to explain to someone that IDW Sixshot and Headmasters Sixshot are not the same guy. I just gave up in the end becuase they started getting hostile about me yumeshipping Headmasters Sixshot (still treating him like IDW Sixshot) and going off how the cartoon characterization doesn't even matter because IDW is better. ⋋_⋌

Not much has changed from the original sketches, I just changed the MIT sweater to a Nasa one to reflect her interest in space and changed the patterned sweatshirt to a more simple stripe design because I realized I am not drawing that complicated of a pattern every time ToT

I mixed up my spaghetti with their wheat spaghetti and now I actually feel like I'm going to die tonight

I've decided on the name TF: Exceed for the Optimus Prime and such section of the au, and the combine name of Exceed and Express will be Transformers 2EX/TF2EX

Since I've been working on Spike, Carly, and Chip lately, here's some stuff:

The three of them go to the same school as teenagers and are all in a science club together

The science club used to be an actual science club, but now it's just the three of them

Carly is into Astronomy and wishes to be an astronaut

Besides mechanics Spike is intrested in Anthropology

Chip is still a computer geek

Carly is a GoBots fan (I like the idea of GoBots being fairly big in-universe tf stuff)

Spike and Sparkplug were the first to meet the bots, Carly was the second after tracking Spike to the Ark after he stopped showing up to science club

After Carly found out they introduced Chip

Spike is closest to Bumblebee, Carly is closest to Hound, Chip is closest to Wheeljack

In the future/2015

when Carly and Spike become ambassadors, Carly is more intrested in space exploration while Spike is intrested in alien cultures

Chip helps with Autobot-human relations on Earth.

Okay so the ideas for my au have been rattling in my mind for a while (at least a year) and I'm just now putting pen to paper so rn the specifics are still being worked out.

My au is bassically divided into two parts, the first is yet to be named and the second is Express/Transformers Express. The first part is bassically just the g1 cartoon with some stuff I like added in (Raoul being more important, s3 cast being with the s1-2 cast, Hot Rod originally being Megatron's apprentice are some major parts but theres some more)

Then Express focuses on Sixtrain. This one has a lot more unique components to it. Basically in this, Destrons are a splinter group of the Decepticons led by Megaempress and Deathsaurus, and mostly comprising of the extended Japanese G1 Decepticons. Destrons focus on conquering Earth rather than the war for Cybertron, and are fought by a sub-faction of Autobots I've yet to name. Sixtrain is like an underdog team that mostly finds themselves against the Megaempress' troupes. I could go more into that later.

I usually describe them as two shows in the same continuity, same universe, sometimes interacts but mostly separate.

Anyway on to the topic about Solon and Deathsaurus.

Bassically, a big part of Express is that Sixtrain team have teen human companions, and the Four Guards also have a human "companion" who's the kids' teacher. It is fairly important to the plot that this guy is the only human within the Destrons on Earth, so that's why I was messing with the idea that Solon was raised by Esmeral off-Earth, but honestly now I think I'm going to go with Solon being with Deathsaurus. His disdain for humanity can keep the Four Gaurd's human as the only one fulfilling a "human" role in the Destrons, and I feel like the two of them could have a fun dynamic.
