I feel safer being friends with people who have very different views from me. Because it's easy to be accepted by people who think you have every belief in common, only to get attacked and abandoned by them years later when they discover the one thing you don't agree on. People who accept me out of the gates despite not agreeing with this or that belief are actually real friends who don't need to control my every little belief or conform to their every little thought to be seen as a valid person worthy of love.

Jokes aside, I don't befriend people who are physically dangerous, people who are pro sex abuse, or pro violence (outside of self defense.) this cuts out quite a few people of any movement. I judge people by their actions and how they treat friends and non friends alike, not their political orientation.

Attack the system, not the people. People can be deradicalized and the only way to do that is to show them that what radicalized them, lied to them. Don't leave them alone in that radicalization, the radicals RELY on you doing that to keep the victims trapped. Same goes for cults.

It's fun when the robot character in the sci-fi show gets cut in half because nobody working on this type of media knows anything about robotics and you never know what you're going to find inside. Green printed circuit boards? Meat and viscera, but like in a weird colour? Just a shitload of goo?
I especially like it when the robot appears to have realistic musculature which operates via contraction, suggesting some sort of fluid-driven or shape-memory-based actuation, and then it gets dismembered and a bunch of random gears and sprockets go flying everywhere.
