Noise - First time my perspective of noise was changed by my teacher Nithya Shanti. I had this belief and conditioning that Silence is required for meditation, concentrated and focused work. This could be the reason we go in the mountains for retreats, away from the hustle bustle of life. The question is β Are you Silent β , if you are really truly, then you will listen to the sounds around more vividly . Yet those sounds were always there even before we paid attention. It becomes noise when we allow the sound to disturb us . Technically what I gathered from the session that it was my interference that causes the existing sound to become noise. Once I am aware of the sound and my mind do not interfere it by labelling it beyond what it is , it remains as it is and we can live cohesively. Meditating with sound in the middle of a chaos is a gift from my teacher. Yes, I practiced and practiced. It is so now. No sound can disturb till I disturb the sound to make it noise. .
Then comes the second point which is I am . Since childhood framing the sentences were not taught how we understand now or rather we are learning to understand. Any sentence in the mind or said verbally with I am is an affirmation. So in life whatever we are saying prefix with I am , it solidifies the situation, things. When we say β I am sick β , you are affirming the sickness. So what could be the alternative way of saying was my immediate thought. - There is a sickness within me or my body is sick/ unwell etc . I am is free from anything and everything. This is my 2 cent understanding and I practice the same. I am happy and beautiful, blessed and a channel of blessings. I am a magnificent child of this Universe. I am not what is tangible, I am the vastness and infinite possibilities which my limited mind cannot comprehend. So are you all, its a law of mathematics.
