This blog has been dead for so long, I know, but I gotta hop in here and share because I’m so thrilled✨ I fell off reading the second Mistborn era, and then a friend recommended I hop into the Way of Kings before getting too far in that second era. So I’m in the middle of reading that, and just read Tress of the Emerald Sea, which was so cute!
But I’m rereading Mistborn from the beginning again because… my family is reading it!! I’ve got my brother, mom, and sister all reading it together, and more family members are wanting to join the “book club”! I’ve graduated from a Mistborn Baby into a Mistborn Dealer 😆 and I’m excited to see who gets addicted with me!

Well, it’s been a little under a year since I last posted on here, and I did finally finish the second book, and oh boy I do wanna post my thoughts on that— but I have once again lost my books. And have finally given in and gotten the audiobooks. And I’m listening to the third, and I haven’t updated at all on this one because doggone it’s harder to transcript an audiobook, but I had to drop in and geek out for a second because—

This gives me a measure of stress because, my poor girl, but also, awwww, my girl… she’s learning to love, and allowing herself vulnerability alongside it?? After all she’s been through, she allows herself to honestly feel with the man she loves??

Vin reacted instantly, throwing a handful of coins and Pushing them through the air. The bits of metal zipped forward through the mist, trailing streaks, and passed right through the shadowy figure.
It stood a moment. Then it simply puffed away, dissipating into the mists’ random curls.

Vin wondering how she’s able to pierce copperclouds feels like some grade-A prime foreshadowing right there….
… Elend was a man who put great stock in learning, but little in appearance. He only bothered to comb his hair when he attended an important function, and he managed to wear even well-tailored outfits with an air of dishevelment.
You have no idea how much peace and joy it brings my soul to hear that Shabby Book Man is indeed still a shabby book man. My heart is so full, this is the only king that matters. Absolute perfection.

It all sounded wonderful in theory. Assuming they survived the next few months.
Hey, that’s exactly what I say to myself whenever I sit down and arrange my schedule! Oof, I feel ya, Elend. Forming a government and staving off civil war, scheduling trips and deadlines, it all must be pretty much the same, right? Yeah, it’s probably exactly the same.
The Mistborn obviously hoped Vin’s concern for her servant would draw her attention away, perhaps letting him escape.
He was wrong.
Vin ignored the coins, dashing forward. Even as OreSeur cried out in pain—a dozen coins piercing his skin—Vin threw her staff at the Mistborn’s head.
Man, I think something big would have to happen for me to not like OreSeur. Just the impression I’ve gotten of him this book and last, I have no bad feelings toward the dude. Like, I get why Vin doesn’t like him, but as far as I’m concerned? He did right by Kelsier, he did everything that was asked of him, and even now is apparently still doing his job! Yes, to be fair, I’d be uhhh a little unnerved by the guy for a while, if I saw him take on the appearance of a newly dead friend after eating his corpse, but I don’t get this lasting abhorrence Vin has for him. I think I’m supposed to feel that way as the reader? But doggone Vin, give the guy a break!! That had to hurt, kandra or not!
